We are launching a long-form intellectual podcast. The podcast will focus on ideas, history, society, education, public policy, and thoughtful conversations with academics, thinkers, and professionals.

We are looking for one organized, curious, and articulate individual to manage research, guest coordination, and basic podcast operations in a lean and sustainable manner.

This is not a social media influencer role. It is closer to an academic program coordinator + media assistant role.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Research & Episode Planning

• Research and propose episode themes and discussion topics

• Prepare brief discussion notes for the host (not scripts)

• Maintain a content calendar (weekly / bi-weekly episodes)

• Assist in shaping thoughtful, structured conversations

2. Guest Identification & Coordination

• Create and maintain a guest list (academics, professionals, writers, thinkers)

• Reach out to potential guests via email / LinkedIn / phone

• Coordinate schedules and confirmations

• Share briefing notes with guests prior to recording

3. Podcast Operations

• Schedule and manage recording sessions

• Ensure basic recording setup is ready (mic, camera, audio check)

• Upload recordings to cloud storage

• Coordinate with freelance editor (if required)

• Publish episodes on podcast platforms (Spotify, YouTube, etc.)

4. Documentation & Organization

• Maintain organized folders (audio, video, notes)

• Track episode status (planned, recorded, published)

• Keep simple records of guests, topics, and feedback

What You Will Not Be Responsible For

• Heavy audio/video editing

• Graphic design or thumbnails

• Aggressive social media marketing

• Paid ads or monetization

(These will be automated or outsourced if needed.)

Ideal Candidate Profile

Education

• Bachelor’s degree (ongoing or completed) in:

  • Social Sciences

  • Journalism

  • Public Policy

  • English

  • Media Studies

  • Anthropology / History / Political Science

• University of Dhaka / NSU / BRAC / IUB preferred but not required

Skills & Traits

• Strong curiosity and interest in ideas, society, and intellectual discussions

• Good written and spoken English & Bangla

• Organized and reliable

• Comfortable communicating with senior academics and professionals

• Basic comfort with Google Docs, Drive, Zoom

• Willingness to learn simple audio/video workflows

Experience

• Fresh graduates welcome

• Research assistant / content assistant experience is a plus

• Podcast or media experience is a bonus, not mandatory

Work Arrangement

• Location: Dhaka (hybrid possible)

• Hours:

  • Part-time: 15–20 hours/week

  • Full-time: 35–40 hours/week

• Schedule: Flexible, based on recording days
