Educational Requirements:
∎ Honours or equivalent degree preferably in any of the following subjects: Environmental Science/ Environment/Energy Economics, Electrical Engineering, Economics, Development Studies, Geography and Environment, Climate Change, Governance and Public Policy, Anthropology, Sociology and Statistics;
∎ Candidate with 3rd Division or CGPA less than 2.5 on a scale of 4 or 3 on a scale of 5 at any level of their education need not apply;
Job Responsibilities:
∎ • Data collection (both qualitative and quantitative data) from the field ensures the integrity and quality of data;
∎ • Primary and secondary data collection using the online platform;
∎ • Compilation of the collected data writing field report and transcription of KIIs & interviews;
∎ • Assist in determining outputs of the advanced statistical analysis and writing on the analytical part of the draft report;
∎ • Assist in preparing visual analysis creating the GIS Maps and other figures, tables and graphs,
∎ • Assist in performing data analysis using the different analytical and statistical tool; and
∎ • Discharging any other duties assigned by the supervisor related to the TIB & PIE-ECF collaborative study.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 30 years
∎ Relevant research experience on environment and climate change related issues;
∎ Strong willingness to stay in the locality for longer hours to collect data is desired;
∎ Strong commitment to ethical and objective data collection is expected;
∎ Computer skill in MS Office, Excel and Power Point;
∎ Experience in using analytical tools such as SPSS, STATA, R, ATLAS.Ti, GIS would be treat as an extra advantage;
∎ S/he must be comfortable working with people of diverse age-groups with various social, economic, professional, and/other cross cultural identities;
∎ Should be able to work under pressure; and
∎ Must be prepared to undertake frequent field trips.
Salary:
∎ Tk.18,000 (eighteen thousand) per month (consolidated); and
Local conveyance and phone bill.
