Job Context:
∎ RI is seeking a Reporting & Communication Officer for its Bangladesh Country Program, based in Cox’s Bazar with frequent travel to program locations. The Reporting & Communication Officer is an integral member of RI‘s Resource Mobilization, Reporting and Communication team in Bangladesh.
∎ Duty Station: Based in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh (With frequent travel to field offices/Camps as required)
∎ Report To: Resource Mobilization, Reporting and Communication Manager
∎ Expected Start Date: At Earliest
∎ Contract length: Up to December 31, 2022 (With possibility of Extension subject to funding, program needs and performance of incumbent)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Public Relations and Reporting:
∎ Support the development of a stakeholder contact database and a communication plan that targets key stakeholder groups.
∎ Support media and public relations, public engagement and marketing initiatives such as online advertising, speakers bureau, spokesperson research and media outreach.
∎ Represent RI in partner meetings, INGO Forum, Emergency Sub-Committee Meeting of INGO Forum, conferences, and other events, when needed.
∎ In response to an emergency, collaborate with ER team and proactively network with journalists/media professional at Cox’s Bazar and Dhaka level and coordinate to benefit from high media interest in the early stages of a disaster, including coordinating interviews, prepping spokespeople, and when appropriate serving as spokesperson.
∎ Support the Resource Mobilization, Reporting and Communication Manager, in collaboration with the other departments (Program, Finance, Operation, HR) in the preparation of monthly. quarterly, Mid-term and final reports for donor agencies;
∎ Assist the Resource Mobilization, Reporting and Communication Manager with the development of promotional/marketing materials, including Annual Report, press kits, country profiles, technical sector capacity statements, success stories, case studies, pictures, assessment reports, contents for communication materials etc. going on the field when necessary;
∎ Support other possible tasks related to PR and Reporting.
∎ Communication (Social Media Management and Branding):
∎ Support all relevant social media platforms of RI in Bangladesh to generate brand growth and positive sentiment for the organization, as well as being tasked with creating new, innovative and talk-worthy content to drive awareness and engagement and to lead to measurable actions.
∎ Develop and implement a strategic social media/marketing/communications plan/strategy to advance Relief International’s brand identity; broaden awareness of its programs and priorities and increase the visibility of its programs across key audiences.
∎ Recommend new social media tools, sites, and applications as part of the social media mix / be ahead of all the emerging social and mobile trends.
∎ Ensure that RI visibility and branding in projects is compliant with donors and RI’s visibility and branding guidelines;
∎ Support other possible tasks related to Communication.
∎ Program Development:
∎ Support the Senior Management Team (SMT) in the development of strategy for expansion of program in new areas and sectors.
∎ Through networking, support the identification as early as possible of future funding opportunities, donor trends, potential partners and maintain updated the donors and partners mapping document.
∎ Continual review other implementing organizations’ activities to identify gap areas, overlap and potential synergies.
∎ Support the Resource Mobilization, Reporting and Communication Manager in the development and submission of new and expanding programs through responding to Requests for Proposals from institutional donors (including proposal and budget development, pre-positioning plans on upcoming priority proposals) in coordination with the other departments.
∎ Support in needs assessments processes in new sectors/communities to inform project design, proposals, partners and donors;
∎ Support other possible tasks related to Program Development.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least three years of experience in a humanitarian and development OR corporate sector; At least two years of relevant work experience in the field of reporting and communication, demonstrating increasing responsibilities and knowledge.
∎ Both written and verbal, Level IV (fluent) in English is required. Level IV (fluent) in Bangla is required. Efficiency in Rohingya language is desirable.
∎ Excellent and proven grant writing, report reviewing, networking and liaising skills.
∎ Knowledge of MS Office software is required; Also, knowledge in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Premiere Pro, video editing, photography, blogging and website management will be highly appreciated.
∎ Experience in managing social media pages on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter (preferably for organizational outreach) is required. The successful candidate must be capable of crafting information messages in various media formats (press releases, websites, videos, etc.) targeting a variety of audiences and of event planning.
∎ Strong organizational skills, analytical abilities, and initiative to prioritize and complete tasks and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision and respecting the deadlines are required.
∎ Ability to understand the needs and interests of various domestic and international stakeholders; Ability to engage local stakeholders in project design and implementation; Good external relations skills is required.
∎ Demonstrated problem-solving and consensus-building skills and ability to promote coordination among diverse teams’ interests and institutions.
∎ Good understanding of humanitarian and development sector.
∎ Ability and willingness to travel often to field offices and Camps;

Salary:
∎ As per RI National Pay Scale Policy in Bangladesh

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Mobile bill, Weekly 2 holidays, Insurance
∎ Two festival bonuses in a year equivalent to one Gross salary.
∎ Severance (8.33% of the monthly Gross salary) goes with the monthly release of the salary.
