Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare an Inception Report including methodology and detailed work plan for the Community Assistants (Cas) team conforming to the project implementation arrangements specifying major implementation stages of NGO services;
∎ Guide, coordinate and support activities of field level staff (Community Assistants) to ensure team harmony among PMU/Regional/Districts/Upazila offices during implementation of assignment;
∎ Prepare an appropriate format for CAs to compile Collected data/information of concerned beneficiaries, consult PD and Regional SE, obtain consent/clearance and distribute the format to CAs;
∎ Compile data in excel spreadsheet and send the soft copy (and ensure receipt) to PMU, Executive Engineer, Upazila Engineer via e-mail or CD/DVD/ Flash drive at least fortnightly;
∎ Ensure regular meeting with CAs (at least once in a month) to review the progress and troubleshoot the problems (if any)
∎ Preserve hard copies of information as collected form community by CAs for future references;
∎ Ensure discussion and review of the progress in monthly meetings of Executive Engineers (PMU will provide necessary directives to XENs in this connection) and attend the meeting where and when possible;
∎ Ensure discussion and review of the progress in monthly meetings of Regional Superintending Engineer (PMU and Regional SEs will provide necessary directives in this connection);
∎ Guide CAs to discuss with the beneficiaries, Focus Groups to form groups to implement the Income Generating Activities (IGA) as per project plan;
∎ Guide CAs in assisting beneficiaries to form associations under cooperative concept and register the Associations with the department of cooperative if necessary;
∎ Guide CAs in discussing with beneficiaries, Focus Groups, line agencies and related stakeholders to forecast the potentiality of IG activities (like Fishing, Duck rearing, vegetable production etc.) practicable in individual schemes;
∎ Guide Cas in discussing with beneficiaries to outline the training need assessment;
∎ Evaluate the performances of Cas and intervene as necessary and for worst cases suggest for replacement discussing with PMU;
∎ Formulate, Prepare, execute, arrange and manage IGA training programs to be practiced in improved Ponds/Dighies, Canals including institutional and financial management in consultation with the PMU.
∎ Prepare evaluation reports of the training provided and extent of the practical application thereof and provide necessary suggestions/ input for further development in applicable cases conveying and sharing the overall activities to the PD on regular basis through monthly achievement reports.
Additional Requirements:
∎ One 5 years of demonstrated, trained, proven and high level experience in social development related survey, data/information survey using modern techniques, organizing and motivating general mass with proven experience in group formation with a developed conception of cooperative system.
∎ Proven Experience in implementation process and policy of Group based income generating/ economic activities will be considered as prime criteria of selection.
∎ Have a motorcycle dive with valid driving license
∎ Computer skill in Office (MS word) PowerPoint and Excel
Salary: Tk. 40000 (Monthly)
