Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices (Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet Region). CB is implementing 89 on-going projects covering 189 Upazilas focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare for Vulnerable Communities (SWVC), ii) Education and Child Development, iii) Nutrition and Health Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Food Security (ECFS), and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox`s Bazar office is looking for suitable candidate for an immediate appointment as well as to prepare a panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

∎ Job Location: Caritas Bangladesh Upazila Office, Ukhiya, Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Job Nature: Temporary.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Works closely with Community based field officer (CBFO), SGBV response officer and community volunteers to provide safe, confidential and integrated psychosocial support and GBV case management service to vulnerable individual and family members.
∎ Lead and facilitate day-to-day structured and unstructured PSS activities (with considerations to age, gender, disability and diversity) for beneficiaries in the host community and refugee camps.
∎ Ensure that, Survivor Centered Approach Guiding principles are maintained and enforced in, while working with survivors, including in safe space for survivors during the case management sessions/meetings and activities.
∎ Work under the supervision of the MHPSS Specialist, Project coordinator and Manager (Protection) in the roll-out of structured PSS sessions across Bare-foot counselor (BFC) community centers.
∎ Prepare all materials and equipment for structured PSS sessions in advance; maintain daily attendance registers and monthly inventory sheets for each activity/session conducted.
∎ Monitor participants progress during sessions and refer individuals showing signs of psychological/emotional distress to CBFO and GBV caseworkers and/or appropriate service providers;
∎ Work closely with BFC field team in updating and disseminating multi-sectoral referral pathways to community members and volunteers;
∎ Conduct gender-sensitive focus group discussions and other participatory activities to engage community members in protection activities and to better understand their psychosocial needs and interests.
∎ Train community volunteers in psychological first aid (PFA), GBV core concepts, rights-based approach and protection principles;
∎ Participate in meetings and trainings conducted by Caritas Bangladesh and other relevant sectors.
∎ Prepare timely reports, maintain database and other relevant documentation as required by Project Coordinator, MHPSS Specialist and Manager (Protection).
∎ Ensure supervision, coordination, and coaching for GBV caseworkers working with survivors of GBV and those at risk-beneficiaries at the camp level.
∎ Ensure all GBV case management-related tools/formats are utilized, information collected rightly, keep documentation in the right way and action taken to ensure the quality of service by the caseworker and balance the coordination with caseworker and data collector for GBV case management information according to the guideline of GBVIMS.
∎ Provide support to GBV caseworker to deal with the critical case and coordinate with other service providers to ensure the best interest service that seeks by survivors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age: Maximum 35 years (as on 31.7.2022).
∎ Minimum 6 months experience in hospital-based psychotherapy/counseling service.
∎ Have training on cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), psychological first aid (PFA), basic communication skill, stress management and anger management.
∎ Proven experience in facilitating training/group counseling session.
∎ Previous experience in working with community people specially with vulnerable people, e.g. LGBTQ group, person with disability and disadvantaged group, in providing awareness session, structured and unstructured psycho-social support service.
∎ Understanding of the Rohingya emergency response and Bangladesh (Host) communities psychological and social needs.
∎ Ability to maintain confidentiality, ethics and respect for survivors, community people all times is essential.
∎ Demonstrates compassion, empathy and respect towards service receiver and colleagues.
∎ Have good communication skill to coordinate with government staff, NGO/INGO/UN actors.
∎ Willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback to improve program quality.
