Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is a national and non-profit development organization operating in Bangladesh since 1967. It has its Central Office in Dhaka and eight Regional Offices in Barishal, Chattogram, Dhaka, Dinajpur, Khulna, Mymensingh, Rajshahi and Sylhet. CB is implementing 87 on-going projects covering 209 upazila focusing on six main priorities i.e i) Social Welfare and Community Development, ii) Quality Education, iii) Health Care and Education, iv) Disaster Management, v) Ecological Conservation and Development and vi) Development of Indigenous Peoples.
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB), Cox’s Bazar is looking for suitable candidates for immediate appointment as well as to prepare panel list for Emergency Response to the Forcibly Displaced People of Myanmar in Bangladesh.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Works closely with case management workers to provide safe, confidential and integrated case management and psychosocial support to vulnerable individuals;
∎ Lead and facilitate day-to-day structured and unstructured PSS activities (with considerations to age, gender, disability and diversity) for beneficiaries in the host community and refugee camps;
∎ Work under the supervision of the MHPSS Specialist and Manager (Protection) in the roll-out of structured PSS sessions across community centers;
∎ Prepare all materials and equipment for structured PSS sessions in advance; maintain daily attendance registers and monthly inventory sheets for each activity/session conducted;
∎ Monitor participants/beneficiaries’ progress during sessions and refer individuals showing signs of psychological/emotional distress to case workers and/or appropriate service providers;
∎ Work closely with field team in updating and disseminating multi-sectoral referral pathways to community members and volunteers;
∎ Conduct gender-sensitive focus group discussions and other participatory activities to engage community members in protection activities and to better understand their psychosocial needs and interests;
∎ Train community volunteers in psychological first aid (PFA), GBV core concepts, rights-based approach and protection principles;
∎ Participate in meetings and trainings conducted by Caritas Bangladesh and other relevant sectors;
∎ Prepare timely reports, maintain database and other relevant documentation as required by Protection Officer, MHPSS Specialist and Manager (Protection).

Additional Requirements:
∎ Only females are allowed to apply
∎ Minimum 2 years work experience in PSS/GBV/CP in emergency (preferable) or development context;
∎ Proven track record in facilitating structured and unstructured PSS activities for vulnerable groups, including children, adolescents, women and girls, elderly.
∎ Previous experience in conducting trainings for volunteers and community members is highly desirable
∎ Demonstrates compassion, empathy and respect towards beneficiaries, staff and volunteers
∎ Strong understanding of the Rohingya emergency response and host community needs
∎ Ability to work with minimal guidance and as part of a team
∎ Proven experience in providing services to vulnerable individuals and families (including survivors of GBV and other protection-related concerns)
∎ Willingness to learn and receive constructive feedback to improve program quality

Salary: Tk. 45000 - 50000 (Monthly)
