Job Context:
∎ POSITION PROFILE:
∎ The GBV TL will be supervising and providing technical support to a team of GBV Prevention Officers, Assistants and Response Officers. His/her role will be to provide technical oversight on the development and implementation of GBV prevention and case management activities in two camps and two host community locations. The GBV TL will report directly to the GBV Manager for both technical and operational concerns.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Development and Implementation:
∎ Lead on the implementation of all gender-based violence Prevention and Response activities carried out in WGSS and community centers in camps and host areas. Direct the planning and roll out of psychosocial activities and sound implementation of GBV prevention curriculum, sexual and reproductive health and case management activities.
∎ Make sure that all the protection projects adhere to the highest GBV standards and principles as well as DRC generic and sector-specific guidelines and accountability standards.
∎ Ensure quality and timely implementation throughout the duration of the project, delivering on project goals and targets while following project workplans and directions set by the Manager.
∎ Collaborate in the development of curricula, tools and other resources for awareness raisings, FGDs, women empowerment activities, support groups and community dialogue.
∎ Ensure that international standards and survivor centered approach are respected and implemented throughout the case management process.
∎ Support innovative problem solving and strategy development to address complex issues relating to the safety and wellbeing of people affected by gender-based violence and discrimination (such as context related IPA abiding by the guidelines).
∎ Support the monitoring of financial commitments and expenditures against budgets and provide timely feedback on budget follow-up.
∎ Plan and coordinate proactively logistics and movements of staff from and to different operational areas.
∎ Initiate procurements and ensure their execution.
∎ Ensure distribution plans are prepared and shared with logistics in a timely manner.
∎ Develop project plans and budgets for funding.

∎ Supervise GBV prevention officers and caseworkers to ensure that they comply with their duties and responsibilities.
∎ Provide daily technical support, mentoring and coaching to case workers and GBV officers to ensure they adhere to a survivor-centered care of survivors of GBV.
∎ Support the GBV team in conducting proper follow-up of GBV cases.
∎ Providing situation specific technical feedback and supervision based on field visits.
∎ Proactively identify gaps and capacity needs of GBV field staff, contribute to arrangement of trainings, purposively select participants for external trainings and ensure replication based on team technical priorities.
∎ Deliver formal internal and external trainings based on technical trainings received and prioritized in collaboration with the Manager.
∎ Management:
∎ Supervise Officers, complete performance evaluations, well-being development and leave trackers, and other DRC tools.
∎ Support GBV manager in the recruitment of GBV Officers and GBV Assistants as needed.
∎ Evaluate the performance of GBV officers every 6 months.
∎ Ensure effective planning and quality implementation of the sector.
∎ Ensure daily monitoring of area.
∎ Donor Reporting and Monitoring and Evaluation:
∎ Ensure ongoing update of trackers for which data entry is done by Assistants, Officers and oneself and liaise with IM Officer in cleaning the data and maintaining GBVIMS IR and GBVIMS+.
∎ Produce all quantitative and qualitative monthly reports defined by the Manager accurately and efficiently.
∎ Do timely and accurate sectorial reporting as per the delegations by the Manager.
∎ Together with the programme manager, provide inputs/feedback for donor reports and GBV sections for proposals.
∎ Prepare additional reports requested by or agreed on with the Manager based on programme needs (e.g. EMAP monthly observation report, consultation reports when opening new locations, input to Advocacy, etc.).
∎ Under the supervision of the Gender-based violence Manager, ensure that all the GBV protection approaches, and tools are developed in synergy with the overall DRC national based protection initiatives.
∎ Support the protection assessment and ongoing risk analysis in order to design adequate responses.
∎ Support the volunteer payment procedure and liaise with IM to maintain the database.
∎ Coordination and Representation:
∎ Work closely with the other programme components to maximize output and impact.
∎ Collaborate with relevant internal counterparts on sector strategy and implementation relevant issues.
∎ Represent DRC at relevant technical coordination meetings.
∎ Initiate and follow up bilateral relationships with key stakeholders for programme implementation.
∎ Ensure integration with other DRC sectors.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Overall, 3 years of work experience with a minimum of 2 years' experience in GBV and/or Protection field. Experience in working with vulnerable communities and service provision, facilitation and research experience preferred. Experience in Cox's humanitarian response is an added advantage.
∎ Experience in protection interventions. Experience in GBV or Protection strongly preferred.
∎ Experience of working with UN and/or Non-Governmental organizations.
∎ Good communication and capacity building skills
∎ Computer skills (Microsoft, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
∎ Good organizational and management skills.
∎ LANGUAGES :
∎ English (Fluent).
∎ Bangla (Fluent).
∎ Chittagonian and Rohingya dialect (Preferable).
