Educational Requirements:
∎ Relevant university degree (at least Bachelor degree) or similar professional qualification (gender, international relations, human rights, Social Science, Development studies etc.)

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)

Job Context:
∎ Duration of the contract : Up to June 2021 (with possible extension based on availability of funding and satisfactory performance)
∎ Based in : Dhaka with some field visits
∎ Reporting to : Swedish Red Cross Program Manager, IRP

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Operational and Strategic Support on PGI (Protection, Gender and Inclusion) and Child protection:
∎ Main Responsibilities:
∎ Providing technical support to BDRCS for implementing the PGI and Child Protection activities as per PGI plan of action under IRP.
∎ Conduct a Child Need Assessment in the IRP communities to identify the basic needs of children, their knowledge on child rights, social problems in the communities, such as: child marriage, child violence and also to identify the risk of child trafficking.
∎ Develop IEC materials for the community on Child Protection so that the community can have clear and better idea about their roles and responsibilities on child protection.
∎ Developing an interactive tool for the school children, which will consist of topics but not limited to: child rights, child marriage, child anti-trafficking, child labour, child health etc. and the content needs to be developed in a way which is interesting for the children and easy to understand.
∎ Works closely with child support groups to strengthen the child protection and anti-trafficking measures.
∎ Develop a basic referral pathway for anti-trafficking and child protection in the implementing area (Jamalpur).
∎ Prepare training materials and conduct training on PGI and Child protection, following the Plan of Action (PoA) made in IRP.
∎ Coordinate with different protection actors and government counterparts to connect them with IRP communities for better result and sustainability.
∎ Support the implementation PGI plan of actions through providing strategic guidance, ensuring quality of implemented activities, reviewing budgets and M&E plans.
∎ Supporting donor reporting of program related to PGI and Child Protection as per reporting template within scheduled timeframe.
∎ Ensure all planned activities under PGI are implemented according to plan and budget.
∎ Ensure that best practices related to protection, gender and inclusion as well as lessons learned are captured, exchanged and promoted through case stories, articles, etc.
∎ Other responsibilities:
∎ Support the mainstreaming of Gender and Diversity and Child Protection in long-term projects of BDRCS.
∎ Support BDRCS Gender Working Committee (GWC) in liaising with key departments/units in BDRCS, such as DRM, DR, OD, PMER, CEA, HR to promote the work culture and integration of gender and diversity.
∎ Might participate to BDRCS GWC meetings and dialogue with Senior Management to support strategic decision making with regards to PGI mainstreaming and activities.
∎ Bring specific but limited support to the BDRCS-SweRC WASH program in Cox's Bazar.
∎ All works must be done in accordance with the "do no harm approach" and adhering to IFRC Minimum Standards on Protection, Gender and Inclusion during Emergencies.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At Least 4 years' experience working on protection, gender and inclusion issues, mainly focused on child protection and anti-trafficking.
∎ Experience in development of IEC materials and interactive tools which promote dignity, access, participation and safety, including proven track record.
∎ Experience in resilience and long-term capacity building working on protection, gender and inclusion issues.
∎ Experience undertaking protection assessments, and working on programs and strategies (including prevention, mitigation and response to sexual and gender-based violence, human trafficking and child protection).
∎ Work or volunteering for the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement;
