Job Responsibilities:
∎ - MISSION:
∎ He/she will support the mainstreaming and integration of protection programming strategy across SI activities in Teknaf base.
∎ He/she will be supporting the base teams through joint action plans developments & follow-up, capacity building and training on protection mainstreaming and integration, advising on protection toolkit implementation, and the creation or adaptation of tools whenever needed.
∎ - Protection component mainstreaming and integration
∎ Lead and provide guidance to the different program teams on the integration mainstreaming and integration steps required in line with the existing tools and plans
∎ Monitor Solidarites International's field protection situation for Teknaf projects
∎ Identify protection concerns particularly related to women & children and other vulnerable groups in relation to SI projects in Teknaf, among others by conducting regular interviews and focus group discussions with individuals at risk
∎ Advice SI teams to develop concrete initiatives to ensure that the specific protection needs of vulnerable people are addressed within SI mandate.
∎ Field supervision and technical support on protection-related questionnaires and needs assessment, when required
∎ Compiles regular protection sit-reps on the achievements, priorities and issues around protection cross-departmental programming
∎ Assist the Protection Advisor and DCD to providing recommendations to ensure that protection issues are considered and tackled in SI programming design and review
∎ Follow-up the use of the protection mainstreaming and integration toolkit and support the different teams in their understanding and practical application of the tools
∎ Support the Protection Advisor in the review of protection mainstreaming toolkit and development of new tools as it may be required
∎ Support the Protection Advisor and Deputy Field Co for programs in the base in the activities and methodologies planning in terms of protection and identify which means and resources will be needed;
∎ Ensure at least 3 days a week of presence in the field to overview the activities, assist the teams, and meet the relevant stakeholders and beneficiaries
∎ - Capacity building, training and support of local teams on protection.
∎ Provide continuous capacity building to the different teams (both at field and management) on protection integration and mainstreaming at base level;
∎ Support the MEAL team in promoting and implementing effective systematization and management of data related to protection to enhance monitoring, response and evaluation mechanisms;
∎ Provide technical guidance and support to SI on all protection related issues ensuring the areas of Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV) and child protection are thoroughly understood by the teams as part of the protection mainstreaming framework;
∎ Assess the needs for, and arrange necessary external training when relevant

∎ - Coordination and inter-agencies synergies in Teknaf / Cox's Bazar
∎ Support the team in Teknaf and in Cox's Bazar (if/when required) in ensuring effective coordination and representation with UN agencies, LNGOs, INGOs, and other key stakeholders on protection and in the relevant protection fora, such as the protection cluster/working groups in Cox's Bazar, so to be in the loop of sectors decisions and tools development.
∎ Attend Protection working groups at camps level (when relevant)

Additional Requirements:
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ At least 3 years working experience in NGO sector in protection, human rights or in a related field.
∎ At least 1 year of experience in refugee crisis context.
∎ Strong interpersonal and communication skills
∎ Experience of working with persons of concern desirable
∎ Strong English Language skills.

∎ 76900 BDT & Other benefits as per ISR of Solidarités International.
