Job Context:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program Development:
∎ In consultation with Sr Integrated Protection Coordinator, contribute to Protection strategy and orientation of staff to ensure high program quality and ensuring alignment with IRC's standard methodologies.
∎ Provide technical support to senior managers, and PCs to ensure quality implementation and coordination of Protection and Rule of Law programs, including access to justice and legal programs, protection monitoring, information dissemination, support to PSNs and protection mainstreaming.
∎ Support the senior protection managers and field teams to develop, implement and monitor progress of the work plans ensuring that activities reflect the commitments IRC made to the donor and the community.
∎ Develop and contextualize technical and managerial tools to support day to day program implementation.
∎ Support program coordinators and senior managers to ensure quality implementation and appropriate M&E systems, provide mentorship where needed to improve the effectiveness of these systems and work to ensure outputs and impact data are captured and used to optimize program quality, developing assessment tools, and technical evaluations.
∎ In collaboration with Senior ProL Managers, and Managers ensure smooth management and integration with Child protection, WPE, and Health.
∎ Contribute to ProL assessment to understand the protection situation to inform protection services and assistance.
∎ Staff Support
∎ Support with the hiring, supervising, and building the capacity of ProL team members both in technical and management aspects.
∎ Provide technical guidance, on the job mentoring and coaching for managers.
∎ As required identify staff performance issues and work with Human Resources to document and address these in accordance with the National Staff Employment Policies.
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and providing oversight and guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
∎ New Business Development
∎
∎ Lead the development of ProL concept notes, and proposals for the response with input from the ProL team.
∎ Find opportunities for new programming, design and develop concept notes and proposals (based on program evidence) to grow the Protection and Rule of Law portfolio.
∎ Develop and/or input into protection assessments and protection reporting analysis for the purpose of program development both in Rohingya crises but also in other parts of Bangladesh as per IRC's Strategic Action Plan (2022-24).
∎ Find opportunities for partnership and strategic collaboration.
∎ Representation, coordination, and advocacy
∎ Dedicatedly participate in, and contribute to, coordination meetings and working groups, specifically the PWG and other related task forces
∎ Dedicatedly build strong working alliances with other international and national actors/organizations working on PWG TT-related advocacy
∎ Dedicatedly develop and maintain effective working relationships with other key partners, including donors, government actors, UN agencies, international and local NGOs, and other relevant actors, maintaining IRC as a key contributor to addressing VAWG and WPE issues in the crisis
∎ Ensure IRC's active contribution in all coordination forums at local level (sub districts and camps)
∎ Lead the process to generate evidence and document best practice practices, case studies
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 5 years' experience working in the field of Protection or Human Rights in conflict-affected areas.
∎ Experience implementing emergency protection programming, protection monitoring, case management and legal programming.
∎ Sound understanding of Humanitarian Principles, international and national policies, and practices with regards to refugees and Triple Nexus as well as demonstrated experience
∎ Good understanding of Bangladesh's Legal system is an advantage
∎ Familiarity with key donor regulations such as UNHCR, DFID, and ECHO.
∎ Experience in working with and coordinating with the UN, donors, INGOs and other partners
∎ Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, capacity building, project design
∎ Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent analysis and writing skills.
∎ Excellent analytical, writing skills and fluency in English.
∎ Works well in and promotes teamwork, comfortable in a multi-cultural environment, flexible and able to handle pressure effectively and productively.
Salary: Tk. 235000 (Monthly)
