Job Context:
∎ The objective of the project is to improve community resilience by engaging youth members of the community in learning, meaningful and rewarding community services activities and dissuading them from getting involved in anti-social activities at the Rohingya camps.
∎ The Project officer, under the direct supervision of Project Manager, is responsible for implementation of planned activities at assigned camp, coordination with CiC, and Site management. S/he will be the focal of the assigned camp and will participate in camp coordination meeting in absence of the project manager. The Project officer will mobilize the Rohingya Food Security Committee (RFSC) and volunteers.
∎ The Project Officer will take care the capacity building, management and mentoring of staff; humanitarian needs identification through monitoring of the evolving situation; context analysis to contribute to the development of future programs; Assess project needs, contribute in designing projects, meet quality standards in project delivery, encourage beneficiary participation, liaise with other stakeholders and a strong link to other sectors of WV.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure operationalizing of training center in the camp as per SOP.
∎ Ensure the timely selection of all beneficiaries maintaining the criteria and in consultation with CiC.
∎ Facilitate the need base training at camp and host community level.
∎ Oversee the light work and awareness dissemination related activities at camp and host community level.
∎ Ensure smooth implementation of project activities according to the agreed timeframe and Detailed Implementation Plan.
∎ Monthly cash transfer ensured in timely manner.
∎ Training and volunteer services efficiently managed.
∎ Ensure routine monitoring of the project activities and provide feedback against the findings.
∎ Participates in the assessment of community needs and resources, collection of base line data to assist in project implementation.
∎ Plans and monitor all field activities, i.e. appointments, meetings, training / service distributions, monitoring and beneficiary follow-ups.
∎ Ensures systems of budget tracking, beneficiary engagement in place.
∎ Ensures all expenditures according to WV financial policies and manual.
∎ Assist sectors to identify evidence-based tools and project design and prioritization.
∎ Ensures lesson learned events.
∎ Maintain close and timely coordination with CiCs, and site management.
∎ Ensures timely reporting to donor and camps.
∎ Actively participate in weekly cooperatives partners meeting, Cluster meeting, camp coordination meeting and represents WVB.
∎ Ensures staff performance objectives setting and appraisal of the performance in timely manner.
∎ Ensure the sub-ordinates are performing activities their assigned roles and responsibilities.
∎ Ensures orientation, and capacity building initiatives for staff.
∎ Staff enjoy vacation and are free of stress.
∎ Monitor the training programs, engagement of volunteers.
∎ Ensure daily update, weekly update and monthly report.
∎ Ensure documentation of success.
∎ Ensure preservation.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 28 to 35 years
∎ Knowledge on social services, Food Security & Livelihood, & GBV activities in Rohingya refugee context.
∎ Reporting and accounting experience needed
∎ Experience in project implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing useful.
∎ Good in communication, interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
∎ Skills in community engagement and mobilization
∎ Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
∎ Knowledge of MS office, websites, outlook and Lotus Notes

∎ Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity and physical stamina
∎ Experience in Project Coordination & management.
∎ And more than 5 years working at different I/NGOs on integrated

∎ The position is camp based and thus must live at Ukhiya.
