Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure assessing food, nutrition security and WASH situation in intervention area including context specific gender analysis
∎ Ensure need assessments and mapping of communities, community based organizations and civil society organizations
∎ Support to community sensitization and awareness raising about good nutrition and WASH practices and social accountability, by using gender sensitive and transformative approaches
∎ Initiate to build capacity of local communities/CBOs to address barriers to good WAHS and nutrition practices, sensitizing and partnering with private sector on social marketing approaches and women entrepreneurship
∎ Support to evidence generation for advocacy, policy making and scaling up of successful approaches, and community led monitoring
∎ Provide leadership for facilitating dialogues between stakeholders, bringing the voice of communities, women and vulnerable groups to decision making processes and strengthening government accountability on nutrition and WASH
∎ Support to strengthen multi-sectoral collaboration and engagement of multiple stakeholders in decision making processes around WASH and nutrition
∎ Conduct field visits to all sites of intervention, provide recommendations to senior managers and implement the action points
∎ Manages the day to day operations of project by facilitating professional work process to ensure alignment with the established policies & procedures and in order to high performance standards.
∎ Under guidance of PC, lead, supervise and monitor the project staffs/team.
∎ Provide necessary support to training team to design and develop training and workshop material/module.
∎ Keeps an accurate record and electronic data base of all elements of the projects.
∎ Maintain close relationship with local government bodies, government functionaries, political leaders, local CSOs, CBOs, the journalists, and others stakeholders of the project to ensure their support to achieve the project goal.
∎ Liaison with consortia members and project management unit as and when require, represent the organization and prepare monthly, quarterly and/or as per requirement of reports of the project.
∎ Work closely with M&E specialist and staff to develop and implement M & E tools.
∎ Support to develop clear guidelines, tools, capacity building modules to support project implementation.
∎ Participate in developing strategic and operational plan for assigned operational areas
∎ Any other work required by Project Coordinator.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 5-7 years experiences in the related field, particularly nutrition and WASH, out of which at least 3 years in the managerial position in non-profit organizations
∎ Sound knowledge on project management, project cycle, and result based management.
∎ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, creativity, resourcefulness and flexibility
∎ Exceptional transformative leadership skills
∎ Strong team-building, representational and diplomatic skills and building relationship.
∎ Proven interpersonal and intercultural skills, including flexibility and sensitivity
∎ Sound knowledge of country's socio-political culture, governance, democracy and social development issues.
∎ Skills in Microsoft words, excel and PowerPoint.
∎ Sound technical knowledge of social media like face book, twitter, you tube, zoom, Tumblr. etc.
∎ Experience of writing project report writing both in Bangla and English.
∎ Excellent command over in English both verbal and written is necessary.
