Educational Requirements:

∎ Direct line manager of Assistant Project Officers (Infrastructure)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project implementation:
∎ Develop the Shelter/NFI distribution plan & design and management of site development activities.
∎ Provide technical & management support to field team through meeting/orientation/on job training for successful implementation of project activities in line with sector guidance and standards.
∎ Maintain regular tracking of shelter/NFI activities with necessary adjustment.
∎ Monitor infrastructural activities at camp and in the host communities.
∎ Prepare monthly plans and review periodically with the line manager.
∎ Consider disaster resilient features, gender sensitivity, inclusive approach as cross cutting issues during program planning and implementation.
∎ Information management and reporting:
∎ Conduct need assessment for shelter/NFI and site improvement interventions.
∎ Measure activity progress regularly, prepare and submit reports accordingly.
∎ Identify discrepancies in project implementation and report immediately to the line manager with remedial actions.
∎ Coordination, networking and advocacy:
∎ Liaise with local government representatives/administration, authorities at camp level and different committees at host communities to coordinate the shelter/NFI interventions and avoid duplication.
∎ Develop technical training manual/module on infrastructural issues for the project team, community leaders/committees and local government representatives.
∎ Participate different cluster coordination meetings, technical working group meetings at camp level.
∎ Capacity Strengthening:
∎ Manage and build capacities of the team members to carry out their responsibilities properly.
∎ Assist in organizing and implementing training on shelter/NFI and site improvement activity planning, preparedness and response.
∎ Participate in different trainings nominated by the line manager.
∎ Financial Management and logistics:
∎ Manage budget for the assigned project and ensure all expenses are according to budget and meet standards regarding financial management.
∎ Monitor proper use of materials, financial and human resources.
∎ Safety and Security:
∎ Responsible to put in place appropriate security and prevention measures during any distribution and implementation of project activities.
∎ Provide timely incident report to the line manager as needed.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Priority will be given to the candidates who have experience in Rohingya response.
∎ Professional requirements:
∎ Keep strong coordination with other implementing agencies, donor and local governmental authorities at field level.
∎ Knowledge on computer operating system, estimation software and Auto CAD will get preference.
∎ Knowledge on different standards (Sphere, Core humanitarian standards, etc).
∎ Language:
∎ Fluent English skills (written, spoken and reading).
∎ Local language is an asset.
∎ Personal requirements:
∎ Willingness to accept frequent field missions. Driving motorbike with valid driving license.
∎ Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
∎ Strong attitude to take initiative, work autonomously and achieve results effectively; Flexibility and Stress-management.
