Educational Requirements:
∎ Completion of Higher Secondary (HSC) education with at least 1 year relevant experience.
∎ Prior knowledge of Bangladeshi/Cox's bazar humanitarian contexts in camps is required.

Job Context:
∎ Duty station: Ukhiya (Camps), Cox`s Bazar, Bangladesh
∎ Starting date: 01 March 2023
∎ Contract duration: Till 31st December 2023
∎ Contract type: Full time
∎ Reports to: Catchment Focal Point
∎ Coordinates with: Shelter team
∎ Direct line manager of Volunteers

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project implementation
∎ Maintain close communication with different community members, including with community leaders and influencers to initiate and implement shelter and household-level site improvement activities.
∎ Participate in Community Engagement (orientation meetings, consultation, awareness raising, and invitation to any activities)
∎ Facilitate awareness meeting for HEKS/EPER emergency and shelter activities through meetings, training sessions, workshop, focus group discussion and different type of messaging to the community
∎ Coordinate strongly with the shelter team to perform according to their needs
∎ Support the implementation of any community-based and social cohesion activities including campaign and participating in FGDs and door-to-door meetings.
∎ Foster an atmosphere of solidarity and unity within the beneficiaries; and adhere to the principals of 'Do no Harm' throughout the project implementation process
∎ Participate and facilitate Assessments and post distribution monitoring and ensure the presence of households during any kind of activities
∎ Consider disaster resilient features, gender sensitivity, inclusive approach as a cross cutting issues during programme planning and implementation.
∎ Disseminate information about HEKS/EPER before/during/after any kind of activities
∎ Support coordination in camps during project implementation, including suppliers, Site Management and Site Development, Protection, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene related actors, as well as with government entities.
∎ Information management and reporting
∎ Prepare daily report and submit to the supervisor
∎ Lead data collection, record keeping and update the project database to measure the progress of planned activities.
∎ Assist in data collection, collation and maintaining beneficiaries' records. Provide support to MEAL manager in getting proper access to the community and acceptance
∎ Support in the Complaint Feedback Mechanism Platform from SMS level to ensure accountability to the system and the community
∎ Prepare monthly plans and review periodically with the line manager.
∎ Maintain a proper system to follow up activities and perform according to the shelter annual/monthly/weekly plan
∎ Capacity Strengthening
∎ Manage and build technical capacities of the Volunteers to carry out their responsibilities properly
∎ Assist in organizing and implementing Shelter/NFI and site improvement activities
∎ Participate in different trainings nominated by the line manager.
∎ Safety and Security
∎ Assess and consult other partners to ensure security situation of planned locations is calms; Ensure risk assessment and share security information with the line manager.
∎ Provide timely incident report to the line manager as needed.
∎ Ensure proper community
∎ General
∎ Deliver high quality results in line with the terms of reference agreed in advance - to do this in a way which maintains the reputation of the Humanitarian Department.
∎ Comply with HEKS/EPER policies and practice with respect to code of conduct, PSEAH Policy, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
∎ Proactively support HEKS commitments to gender equality, child protection and disability sensitivity: i) Implement all work-related activities with a gender, disability and child protection lens, considering the different needs, concerns and ideas of our staff and beneficiaries ii)Ensure the incorporation of gender equity principles in all policies and activities iii) Encourage the participation of all genders in meeting and on committees iv)Help build an inclusive office environment where people do not feel disadvantaged or judged according to their gender or limited due to manageable disability.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Professional requirements:
∎ Keep strong coordination with other implementing agencies and local governmental authorities at field level.
∎ Knowledge on different standards (Sphere, Core Humanitarian Standards, etc).
∎ Good communication and leadership skills.
∎ Knowledge and experience of community mobilization & Complaint Feedback & Response Mechanism will be an added advantage.
∎ Familiarity with the special context of refugee camps in Cox's Bazar is an asset.
∎ Language:
∎ Good English skills (written and spoken).
∎ Fluency on Cox's Bazar Local dialect is an asset.
∎ Personal requirements:
∎ Ability to establish collaborative relationships with staff, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
∎ Strong attitude to take initiative, work autonomously and achieve results effectively; Flexibility and Stress-management.
