Job Context:
∎ World Vision Bangladesh is looking for a competent project manager for WFP funded SNSP project which will be implemented in Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar. The objective of the project is to improve community resilience by engaging youth members of the community in learning, meaningful and rewarding community services activities and dissuading them from getting involved in anti-social activities at the Rohingya camps.
∎ The Project Manager, under the direct supervision of Sector lead- FSLR, is responsible for start- up and executing project at all stages of the project management cycle. S/he is also responsible for accomplishing the program objectives and outcomes within the defined timeframe. The Project Manager will ensure the overall success of the program by making sure the team completes the defined activities while adhering to all set standards (internal and donor) and contractual obligations. S/he will initiate and effectively manage and report the project in line with the objectives, timeframe and budget.
∎ The Project Manager will take care the capacity building, management and mentoring of staff; humanitarian needs identification through monitoring of the evolving situation; context analysis to contribute to the development of future programs; Assess project needs, design projects, Provide technical guidance, leadership and strategic direction; meet quality standards in project delivery, encourage beneficiary participation, liaise with other stakeholders and a strong link to other sectors of WV.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure project is running according to the agreed timeframe and Detailed Implementation Plan.
∎ Ensure on boarding of project staff.
∎ The SOPs is followed and implemented.
∎ Ensure timely beneficiary inclusion following project standards.
∎ Monthly cash transfer ensured in timely manner.
∎ Training and volunteer services efficiently managed.
∎ Ensure routine monitoring of the project activities and provide feedback against the findings.
∎ Participates in the assessment of community needs and resources, collection of base line data to assist in project implementation.
∎ Plans and monitor all field activities, i.e. appointments, meetings, training / service distributions, monitoring and beneficiary follow-ups.
∎ Ensures budget tracking system in place.
∎ Ensures all expenditures according to WV financial policies and manual.
∎ Assist sectors to identify evidence-based tools and project design and prioritization
∎ Ensures lesson learned events.
∎ Ensures staff performance objectives setting and appraisal of the performance in timely manner.
∎ Ensure the sub-ordinates are performing activities their assigned roles and responsibilities.
∎ Ensures orientation, and capacity building initiatives for staff.
∎ Staff enjoy vacation and are free of stress.
∎ Maintain close and timely coordination with donors, CiCs, and site management.
∎ Ensures timely reporting to donor and camps.
∎ Actively participate in weekly cooperatives partners meeting, Cluster meeting, camp coordination meeting and represents WVB.
∎ Manage the project budget and ensure all expenses are according to budget allocation and meet donor standards with regard to financial management, including accountability and good governance.
∎ Ensures timely forecasting of budget and financial tracking accordingly.
∎ Ensures timely invoices submission.
∎ Ensures all documents are preserved.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 50 years
∎ Knowledge on social services, Food Security & Livelihood, & GBV activities. Preference work in Rohingya refugee’s context.
∎ Reporting and accounting experience needed.
∎ Experience in project implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing useful.
∎ Good in communication, interpersonal skills and cross-cultural sensitivity.
∎ Skills in community engagement and mobilization
∎ Excellent English communication skills (oral and written)
∎ Knowledge of MS office, websites, outlook and Lotus Notes
∎ Commitment to World Vision Core Values and Mission Statement
∎ Ability to exhibit exemplary lifestyle as interpreted in specific local culture
∎ context
∎ Cross-cultural sensitivity, flexible world view, emotional maturity and physical stamina
∎ Experience in managing WFP funded project.
∎ Experience in camp coordination.
∎ Experience in Project Coordination & management.
∎ 8 years’ working experience in managing projects at different I/NGOs.
∎ The position will be based at Ukhiya and will work in camp settings thus must be willing and able to
∎ travel nationally up to 40% of the time
∎ Some project locations may be in remote areas. Staff is expected to live in the location for short periods

Salary: Negotiable
