Job Context:
∎ Project: Assistance to vulnerable Migrants & Counter Trafficking (AVMCT)
∎ Reported to : Director - Programs & Operations
∎ Job Location: Cox`s Bazar
∎ Initially contractual for 4 months possibility of extension. (Extendable based on performance and available fund)
∎ Project Manager is the lead project staff of the project. Purpose of this position is - to manage the implementation level activities of AVMCT project ensuring specific project strategies and activities are achieved as stated in the project description format and the agreement with IOM Bangladesh consistent with BNWLA management guidelines and administrative and financial rules in practice.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Prepare annual, quarterly and monthly plans for effective execution of the project activities as stipulated ¡n the project document
∎ Guide, supervise and lead project team in a coordinated way while supporting the project team as a facilitator
∎ Travel frequently to project areas and mobilize related
∎ Stakeholders and beneficiary communities as per the project activities and agreement signed with IOM Bangladesh to fulfill the objective of the project
∎ Maintain day to day communication with IOM and BNWLA head Office for smooth implementation of the project
∎ Liaison with different level stakeholders on project related matters
∎ Take full responsibility of financial and administrative management of project offices/units at different locations
∎ Prepare and submit field visit reports, monthly and quarterly project review reports, technical progress reports and financial reports to BNWLA head office and IOM Dhaka and local office.
∎ Maintain coordination and linkage with various stakeholders at district level
∎ Function as program focal at local project office
∎ Conduct regular project monitoring and assist in conducting baseline, end line and other surveys and researches.
∎ Guide, evaluate and assess the performance of the subordinates
∎ Facilitate meeting and workshop with various groups as part of project and org activities
∎ Assist organization's project development and technical report writing on other associated issues.
∎ Participate in planning for transfer/transition of achievements.
∎ Provide technical support to project team to achieve project goal.
∎ Contribute to developing operating tools for project interventions.
∎ Compile/ document lessons learnt and intervention model.
∎ Participate in the controlling of the appropriateness and compliance of the program operations narrative work plan and budget.
∎ Any other task assigned by management.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 35 to 45 years
∎ Minimum 4 - 5 years' experience as Project Coordinator/ Program Manager in the humanitarian context and in a rights-based development organization.
∎ IT skills with a keen knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Power Point and internet programs are highly required.
∎ Able to travel frequently at different project locations.
