Job Context:
∎ Immediate supervisor: Program Coordinator
∎ Contract period: 01.1.2023 to 30.11.2025 (35 months)
∎ Proposed start date:1 st of January 2023
∎ Location: Chokoria under Cox`s Bazar & Sitakundu under Chittagong
∎ Name of Project: Enhancing Food and Nutrition Security Through Promoting Climate Resilient Livelihood Opportunities and DRR Practice in Cox`s Bazar and Chittagong
∎ The training officer will be responsible for conduct and organizing all off farm training and workshop under this project. The training officer will also to coordinate all training activities including awareness, capacity and skill building interventions, prepare Issue based and appropriate training module and conduct trainings and their documentations. He/she will also coordinator vocational skills training and employment generation.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Conduct Need assessment of beneficiaries
∎ Coordinate all training activities including awareness and capacity building interventions
∎ Participate in designing training programs based on needs assessments.
∎ Participate in the development of the training module.
∎ Conduct training on peace education
∎ Conduct training sessions at the school level
∎ Organize the family peace counselor so that they can conduct the reduction of violence against women
∎ Prepare and document social conflict and organize sessions to resolve these conflicts
∎ Coordinate vocational skills and employment generation
∎ Assist the Team in organizing and delivering field-level activities/training and workshops.
∎ Attend all workshops and pieces of training organized for beneficiaries and staff.
∎ Strengthen and establish a community-level group to support business and provide linkage with key stakeholders
∎ Liaise with local level industries/institutes and projects for managing job placement for the returnees
∎ Provide access to skills training for returnees, including local market skills, skills for economic infrastructure, and internationally recognized skills qualifications
∎ Have skills in multi-layer team management, facility management, business operational analysis, business correspondence, and cross-cultural communications
∎ Facilitating and conducting training (Tailoring/Goat Rearing/Vegetable Gardening/ off and on farm, Handicraft/Block-Batiks/Basic Computer Literacy/Packaging/Nursery/Seed Preservation/Small business/Mobile Servicing etc.) and workshop and training module development;
∎ On and off-farm intervention for creating livelihood opportunities for women living in poverty;
∎ Market linkage and maintain linkage and networking with different stakeholders and networks;
∎ Follow the organization's Child Protection& PSEA Policy.
∎ Assist Project Manager in any other issue.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ 7 years working experience on project management and among them at least 3 years of experience in similar position.
∎ At least 2 years of experience of in the sector of Training division on Agriculture, Livelihood, DRR and Climate change management
∎ Proven experience on quality report writing skills
∎ Good understanding about service models with special focus on skill development.
∎ Have good facilitation, communication, negotiation, linkage building skills with private and public service providers.
∎ Proven skills and competencies to work with MS/ Excel, MS Access, SPSS is preferable
∎ Knowledge of the major evaluation methodologies (qualitative, quantitative, mixed method, and impact) and data collection and analysis methodologies (GIS etc.)
∎ Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, set priorities, etc.
∎ Skilled in computer literacy; report writing, strategy planning and others related documentation
∎ Excellent command on report writing in both English and Bangla language
∎ Skill in file management & E-communication
∎ Dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a demanding and difficult environment
∎ Practical, quick, reasoning skills; must be able to communicate with all parties of the project
∎ Demonstrated ability for people management
∎ A team player; committed to motivating and leading staff
∎ Clear understanding of the working of major donors and their perspective, requirements and standard
∎ Able to work and manage in a hardship post and willingness to frequently travel in and out of field
Salary: Tk. 70000 (Monthly)
