Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the guidance and supervision of the Country Director, the PC-NoWW will work closely with the N-LIFT Program Manager, N-LIFT Technical Advisor, and the N-LIFT Project Assistant with Nutrition International in Ottawa, as well as with NI staff in-country and regional offices.
∎
∎ Project Development and Planning
∎
∎ Revise the project implementation plan, budget and monitoring/evaluation framework as per NI/NLIFT project proposal NoWW, partnership agreement with BKMEA and MoU with BKMEA and IPHN.
∎ Provide technical support/guidance to BKMEA for the development of the annual implementation plans and budget on the basis of NI/NLIFT requirements
∎ Prepare ToR(s) for the key planning, implementation, review and evaluation activities, taking input from the CD and RO/HQ advisers as appropriate and coordinate reviews of progress and service quality with the NI HQ.
∎ Provision of training and capacity building
∎
∎ Review the training design and curriculum.
∎ Identify training needs/gaps with partner organization staff, project and factory-level teams and propose capacity building measures to improve project performance.
∎ Facilitate program-related training as required
∎ Review assessments / audits of changes in knowledge attitudes and practice post training.
∎ Streamlining Supply Chain
∎
∎ Develop framework and process for the monitoring of inventory on a monthly basis and follow-up with BKMEA to ensure timely supply required to implement the project.
∎ Support to BCI Interventions
∎
∎ Coordinate technical assistance from NI HQ and RO.
∎ Guide, with support from HQ and RO staff, the design of the BCI strategy and interventions for creating awareness.
∎ Ensure quality of materials and messages developed, in coordination with RO and HQ advisors.
∎ Project Management
∎
∎ Provide program support to BKMEA including scheduled planning, progress and review meetings, budget analysis and funding transfers.
∎ Management of the partnership with BKMEA and IPHN including provide regular feedback to the partners and team for improving efficiency and effectiveness of the project
∎ Supervise consultants, staff (if any) and outsourced workers in delivering the project.
∎ Ensure the NI Contracts Database is regularly and correctly updated
∎ Attend and update about the NoWW programs during NI review meetings..
∎ Support advocacy to GoB, BKMEA and other stakeholders for effective implementation and adoption of the project
∎
∎ Develop strategies to build linkages and effective working relationships with GOB, BKMEA and other partners at district level at the sub-national levels.
∎ Participate in GoB Task Force/Working Groups on adolescent and women nutrition issues, contributing to technical discussion and flagging issues based on field experience.
∎ Provide inputs, in coordination with the CD, to support Communication and Advocacy Unit's work on NoWW communication and advocacy materials;
∎ Coordinate with the CD to facilitate organisation of advocacy meetings and technical or programmatic workshops at the district and national levels.
∎ Monitoring and Reporting
∎
∎ Develop monitoring and reporting plans for the project in coordination with RO & HQ advisors.
∎ Provide support to evaluations, both internal and external, as per approved ToRs in coordination with NI HQ
∎ Undertake field visits to monitor implementation in accordance with the work plan, NI technical standards and program approach
∎ Ensure reports, records and communication materials are saved and shared in appropriate NI systems (i.e. SharePoint, CRM, CDB) in coordination with the N-LIFT Project Assistant;
∎ Guide BKMEA in data analysis and required reporting to inform decision making on implementation
∎ Participate in national and district level reviews to facilitate problem analysis, identification of solutions, lessons learned and best practices.
∎ Lead the production of projectrelated documentation.
∎ Other: Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Country Director.
Additional Requirements:
∎ A good understanding of human nutrition.
∎ Experience in working with or within public health systems.
∎ Good knowledge of government policies and programs to address nutrition in Bangladesh
∎ 5 years of experience working with UN agencies or NGOs in the field of public health.
∎ Supervision of project staff
∎ Fluency in English (reading, writing & oratory skills) is a prerequisite.
∎ Frequent travel within Bangladesh
∎ Ability to effectively communicate, network and negotiate with a diverse range of stakeholders, especially national and district governments to achieve program objectives.
∎ Strong program management skills.
∎ Ability to work as part of a team and work independently.
∎ Ability to think innovatively.
∎ Strong communication and presentational skills (oral and written).
∎ Ability to effectively represent MI and the programs in various forum.
∎ Good computer skills, including MS Office programs.
Salary:
∎ The monthly consultancy fee would be Approx. BDT 146,000/- consolidated depending on experience and previous emoluments.
