Job Context:
∎ Resilient, Inclusive and Innovative Cities in Bangladesh Project.
∎ The position is responsible to manage DRR,WASH along with integrated faecal sludge and solid waste management, youth empowerment, livelihoodrelated project activitiesin the Mymensingh City Corporation.The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the implementation of the project in accordance with the guidance of Project Focal, including staff supervision in field offices directly under the grants. In addition, it is expected that the Project Coordinator will ensure that all grants for which s/he is focal point are implemented in a manner that ensures the highest accountability standards for internal (donors,beneficiaries, NGO Forum) and City authority, external local stakeholders. The role of the Project Coordinator will also involve coordination, oversight and coaching of the project team in technical and programmatic aspects of the implementation activity, with the support of the other staff. The Project Coordinator will ensure that all work plans are prepared and implemented according to schedule.S/he will be required to travel regularly to field sites in Mymensingh City Corporation andovernight stays in duty stations and occasional work at weekends may be required. The duration of the contract will be until June 30, 2022.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Plan and ensure timely implementation of the project activity and produce a structured work plan for each intervention maintaining close collaboration with Project Focal and other relevant staff of the project.
∎ Carry out the field level implementation of the project in accordance with the detailed approved budget and planned activities.
∎ To execute, direct, monitor and follow up the technical, organizational, and training activities to ensure the achievement of the project targets.
∎ To prepare quality project narrative and financial reports every month, quarter, annual as following the specific ANCP, Oxfam GB and NGO Forum guidelines and prescribed format of the project.
∎ Develop good quality documentation on processes, achievements, learning and challenges throughout the project implementation.
∎ Ensure monthly/quarterly meetings with the donor and NGO Forum central management are taking place for reviewing project performance to discuss problems identified and finding out appropriate solutions.
∎ Ensure proper implementation of policies, requirements and procedures of all project activities are in accordance with organization and donor’s compliance and guideline.
∎ Develop project monitoring and evaluation in coordination with the donor& NGO Forum and ensure its proper implementation
∎ Manage the human and financial resources, in consultation with the NGO Forum Management, for achieving results in line with the outputs and activities outlined in the project document.
∎ Monitor and provide objective feedback related to staff performance, including completing staff performance evaluations to promote growth and professional development.
∎ Manage and control effective management of project logistic and procurement aspect, as well as collaborative work with logistic to support follows up of quotations collection, quotation evaluation, contractor selection, contracts sign, orders, and purchases.
∎ Explore, develop, and maintain good relations with project beneficiaries, partners, and stakeholders.
∎ Establish and maintain good relationships with MoDMR, DDM & other line departments, FSCD, DPHE, DoE, BAU and any other stakeholders related to the project.
∎ Organize and facilitate training, meeting, and workshop at the local and national levels in consultation with Oxfam and NGO Forum management.
∎ Ensure proper and regular communication on project related information with the donor and related departments within the organization and with other important stakeholders when necessary.
∎ Review and check the monthly financial expenses report in line with the approved budget and ensure its quality and on-time submission to the respective authority
∎ Contribute to analyzing and planning of project allocated budget and activity
∎ Keep the Project Focal and the NGO Forum Central Management updated with the project progress.
∎ Perform other relevant duties as required for the project as well as the organization.
Additional Requirements:

∎ Fair knowledge on working experience DRR, WASH along with integrated faecal sludge and solid waste management, youth empowerment, livelihoodrelated projects including project management, develop and execute strategic plans, act as a local representative, point of contact for different levels of stakeholder and donor, supervising, mentoring and provide capacity building support to the project staff, budgetary and internal control, progress tracking and coping with changing situation, ability to writing reports independently.
∎ Sound knowledge on using different software related to data entry, analysis, report writing and preparing presentation etc.
Salary: Tk. 71076 (Monthly)
