Job Context:
∎ The Fresh Food Corners/Market Linkage project aims to continue to strengthen and localize fresh food supply chain through the development of a unique value-based market system, by linking WFP-contracted retailers to producers in the Cox’s Bazar district. The hereby proposed project intervention aims to:
∎ 1. Improve dietary diversity amongst the most vulnerable refugee households via direct access to fresh food items including eggs, live fish and chicken.
∎ 2. Improve market linkages between refugees and host communities
∎ The Project Assistant-technical position will facilitate and implement FFC market systems and supply chain model activities of the project to foster sustainable linkage between AC and FFC. This position will provide overall technical and business development support to the ACMC /producers groups. Responsible to engage actively of all filed officer, field assistant of their day to day activities on producer groups technical and business relevant information. Assist to collect FFC demand and share with filed officer as well as ACMC and ensure supply orders to FFC for increasing their marketing/business skill. This position mainly captures all the transaction information and market price information. Also will check overall quality of fresh food for making deal with retailer and explore new retailer for greater impact.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Ensure technical quality of project implementation and provide technical support to project teams.
∎ Develop training modules & guideline for Aggregation Center technical capacity building issues specially post harvest technologies, food safety and Zero Energy Cooling Chamber uses on low cost preservation technologies
∎ Conduct ToT for ACMC/producers group’s members on post-harvest technology and food safety.
∎ Conduct supply chain market assessment, established value chain and develop guideline for business plan on fresh foods/ vegetable value chain program development.
∎ Producer group mobilization (Vegetable, Poultry and Fisheries) and facilitate learning exchange programs within the community and inside the Camp at FFC outlets
∎ Local market and demand analysis and prepare Business/production plan as well as season base product mapping
∎ Identify and organize comprehensive training package by the Farm to Go application for fresh products small holders/entrepreneurs
∎ Select targeted young and women entrepreneurs on business promotion through involving hem as local service provision system development
∎ Assist to established supply chain model base market development support plan in Value chain, new market strategy, market channel, FFC and AC at community level.
∎ Assist in organizing meeting between FFC retailer/buyer and producer/seller, record and maintain day to day product wise assembling quantities, number of project farmers/Non-project farmers marketed produces through FFC market chain, assist in organizing exposure visits for the FFC retail shops for AC committee members and farmers.
∎ Monitor the progress of field level activities, provide regular updates to the senior management team, and lead partner to deliver high quality and measurable outcomes.
∎ Coordinate with partners, Project Manager and develop an in-depth understanding of the activities, support needs and strengths of each partner with regards their respective implementation.
∎ Prepare and submit accomplishment reports on monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Conduct case studies and operations research, and document lessons learned and best practices for wider sharing.
∎ Ensure high standard of stewardship in resource allocation, utilization and management in compliance with WV and donor financial policies and procedures.
∎ Provide technical guidance and implementation of market systems, and supply chain system development on fresh products
∎ Linkage, Networking and Collaboration
∎ Documentation of all kinds of data/information properly for timely reporting and wider sharing.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Knowledge of market system development, e-commerce.
∎ Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
∎ Knowledge of resources (module, MoU) and tools of market development
∎ Proficiency in computer literacy and online tools.
∎ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
∎ Demonstrated inter-personal and negotiation skills.
∎ Good time management skill and ability to work with minimum supervision.
∎ Have a clear understanding of working relationship with private sector engagement guidelines
∎ Practicing innovation/creativity and achieving quality results and service.
∎ Motorcycle riding license
∎ Experience in developing and implementing standard monitoring, supervision and follow-up tools.
∎ WFP funded programs preferably Market System development program
∎ Partner NGO management
∎ This position is a field based position and successful candidate will be expected to ensure 100% compliance with WV Core values, all policies as required, and child protection policy.

Salary: Negotiable
