Qualifications and Desirable:
• Bachelor of Honors, Preferable Bachelor of Education (B. Ed). Any training/short course on Education will be considered.
• At least 3 years relevant Experience working for NGOs/ INGOs.
• Age limit at most 35.
• 60% Field visit required for the position holders.
• Fluency in Bengali and English.
• Knowledge of integrated development approaches, particularly in areas like education and sponsorship.
• Familiarity with Muslim Hands’ values and programmes.
Skills:
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Knowledge of data collection tools and reporting methods.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Position Overview:
The Programme Associate/Project Associate (Education and Sponsorship) at Muslim Hands International Bangladesh will support the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of various humanitarian and development projects under the supervision of the Senior Programme Officer. Also working with the Sponsorship and Communication Officer on sponsorship and communication-related works. The role involves coordinating with field teams, collecting and analyzing data, preparing reports, and ensuring that projects are aligned with organizational goals and donor requirements. The Programme Associate (Education and Sponsorship) will also assist in budget management, proposal development and stakeholder communication, while ensuring compliance with policies and standards. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to improving the welfare of vulnerable communities.
Additionally, the program associate is essential to the organization’s efficient administration and execution of program activities. The role encompasses a combination of operational, logistical, procurement, and administrative duties with the goal of promoting team productivity and program success.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Design & Implementation:
• Support and assist to Country Office on sponsorship activities.
• Assist in beneficiary data collection, reporting and documentation.
• Enhance stakeholder engagement including communication with schools and sponsored children.
• Support sponsorship MoU signing event, health check-ups, home visits and school visits of the orphan children.
• Manage and keep progress records of sponsorships and donations to support the education and well-being of orphaned and vulnerable children.
• Prepare and generate visit reports required by the authority and programme needs.
• Coordinate support services for orphan students, to ensure the essentials necessary for their education and well-being.
• Assist with organizing and scheduling meetings, workshops and events related to the projects and timely implementation of planned activities.
• Support all kind of programmatic and School based activities assigned by Programme Associate
• Collaborate with local communities, field teams and partners to implement project activities.
• Assist to conduct feasibility studies for new interventions and liaise with the beneficiaries for programme implementation.
• Coordinate the implementation of educational programmes that specifically address the needs of vulnerable children including orphans and children with disabilities at the Muslim Hand Schools
• Identify and select beneficiaries in the MHIBD working area, ensuring accurate data preparation and documentation.
• Maintain strong relationships with registered beneficiaries and the community.
• Provide support for sponsorship-related tasks, including correspondence and reporting.
• Collect and compile required content, case studies, success stories and reports for funding affiliates.
• Assist in preparing narrative and statistical reports on the sponsorship program.
• Collaborate with partners, NGOs, and government bodies for project implementation and community needs assessment.
• Ensure proper documentation, data entry and management of sponsorship information systems.
• Support the safeguarding focal point in mobilizing existing protection mechanisms and referral pathways.
• Assist in communication related activities as required.
• Required to travel to different district as per requirement and conduct regular home visit and dialogue with local authorities.
• Prepare regular progress reports and updates for the Senior Programme Officer and donors, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Contribute to case studies, success stories, best practices and impact reports to highlight programme achievements.
• Support to prepare annual reports, narrative reports, budget, TOR etc.
• Support capacity-building initiatives for field staff and community members to improve project implementation and sustainability.
• Participate in training workshops and knowledge-sharing events within the organization.
• Support the development of communication materials (e.g. SBCC, IEC materials) and strategies to promote programme objectives.
• Provide administrative support to the Senior Programme Officer, including budget tracking, procurement processes and logistical coordination.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures in all project activities.
• Any other duties assigned by supervisor.
