• The candidate would need to have a degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with an MBA in Finance from a reputed university, in addition to good academic results.

The Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), a leading think tank in Bangladesh, invites applications from promising researchers for its ongoing studies under the CPD Power and Energy Study. The applicant should possess sound qualitative and quantitative analytical skills. The ideal candidate will have a good grasp of theoretical and conceptual issues areas of power and energy system including generating transmission and distribution, energy financing, investment in the power/energy sector, financial viability of projects etc. The selected candidates should be ready for working in multi-disciplinary approaches.

The candidate should have analytical abilities, ability to conduct data analysis, knowledge and ability to run different analytical software, excellent drafting skills in English and high computer literacy. The applicant should be highly motivated and committed with regard to clean energy led development policy and must be capable of displaying learning ability and a capacity to work effectively as a team player.

A gross salary starting from Taka 35,000 per month will be offered to successful candidate, along with other admissible benefits. Actual compensation package will be based on assessment of the candidate`s qualifications and suitability, including experience.
