Experience:
Minimum Master’s degree in Forestry, Social Science, Development Studies, Climate Change, or a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in reputed NGOs or development organizations.
Proven experience in designing and conducting participatory training programs along with module development.
Experience working in Sundarbans areas will be an added advantage.
Have ability to travel to working area by motor bike with the valid driving license.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English.
Familiar with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, photography, and videography.

Job Summary:
LEDARS (Local Environment Development and Agricultural Research Society), an NGO registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, has been working in the climate-vulnerable southwest coastal region of Bangladesh since 1996. The region faces severe challenges due to the adverse impacts of climate change, affecting the lives and livelihoods of local communities. LEDARS has been implementing numerous programs in this region. As part of its continued mission to climate resilience and community development, LEDARS is going to implement a project at Sundarbans Landscape Zone at Shyamnagar Upazila in Satkhira district entitles “RESCUE” (Resilient Ecosystems & Sustainable Communities to Uphold the Sundarbans Environment) funded by GIZ. As part of this program, LEDARS is going to appoint a proactive and experienced “Program Officer-Training and Capacity Building”. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing and delivering training programs, with the aim of ensure that vulnerable and marginalized communities living around the Sundarbans are included in community-led biodiversity conservation and sustainable natural resource management, enhancing the resilience of both people and ecosystems. The individual should have a deep understanding of participatory training methodologies, training module development, excellent facilitation skills, and a commitment to empowering vulnerable communities in sundorbans area. The following are the major job requirements of this post.
Job Description / Responsibility
Conduct training needs assessments (TNA) for staff, partners, and community beneficiaries.
Design and develop context-specific training modules, manuals, and materials.
Facilitate training sessions, workshops, orientations, and refresher courses using participatory approaches.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of trainings through pre/post assessments and feedback.
Provide technical support and mentoring to local institutions and community groups.
Coordinate with programming, MEAL, and technical team to align capacity building with project goals.
Maintain accurate documentation and prepare training reports, case studies, and success stories.
Manage training logistics, budgets, and procurement of training materials.
Ensure inclusive, gender-sensitive, and safeguarding-compliant learning environments.
Contribute to the organization`s internal learning and capacity strengthening efforts.
