Job Context:
∎ Project Background : Rights Jessore is a leading human rights organization in Bangladesh dedicated to protection and promotion of human rights, prevention of human trafficking and providing service to the victims of human trafficking. Since 1991, Rights Jessore has been working for providing supports to victim rescue, repatriation, reintegration and rehabilitation.
∎ Rights Jessore is implementing "Providing Comprehensive Reintegration Support to Victims of Trafficking (VoTs) and to Conduct Community-Level Awareness Raising Campaign on Safe Migration in Jashore and Satkhira Districts of Bangladesh" a thirty months duration project with possible extension. The project is funded by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) through partnership with Rights Jessore in Jashore and Satkhira districts in Bangladesh under IOM project "A Comprehensive Counter Trafficking Program to Address Human Trafficking in Bangladesh.". The project goal is to provide comprehensive reintegration support to victims of trafficking (VoTs) and to conduct community-level awareness raising campaign on safe migration in Jashore & Satkhira districts of Bangladesh. It is a victim-cantered prevention and protection services for the selected victims of trafficking (VoTs) in line with IOM`s reintegration guidelines. In this regard, Rights Jessore invites application for a Program Officer who will be based in Satkhira district.
∎ Position Summary of Program Officer: Rights Jessore will recruit one Program Officers for Satkhira district and their main responsibilities will be organizing and conducting court yard meetings at Union level with community people and identification of trafficking survivors according to the criteria of project.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program Officer will be full time position of this project and work in the project locations.
∎ The Program Officer will be responsible for conducting court yard meeting with community people through using multimedia at union level with the help of other project staff and field level volunteers like CTWF members, Peer Leaders and ANIRBAN members.
∎ The position will be responsible for providing business development support with other project staff to the most vulnerable Victims of Trafficking as project beneficiaries.
∎ The position will be responsible for conducting need assessment after selecting project beneficiaries along with other project staff.
∎ The Program Officer will be responsible for identifying project beneficiaries according to the guideline of IOM beneficiaries' selection for this project.
∎ The position will be responsible for providing reintegration service to the VoTs including medical, shelter, life-skill training etc. and as per project proposal along with other project staff.
∎ Program Officer will build linkage with district level administration, CTWF, CTC, CVG, Peer Leaders, ANIRBAN and community people and other project related service provider organization for smooth implementation of field level program and to ensure court yard meeting participation.
∎ The position will prepare monthly work plan and will provide monthly progress report to the Program Manager as per routine work.
∎ Develop and prepare different kinds of quality documents like stories, best practices and positive changes in beneficiaries lives etc.
∎ The position will also conduct liaison with project related stakeholders and government institutions and upazila and district level administration for VoTs reintegration activities smoothly.
∎ Attend various internal and external meeting, seminar, and workshops that relevant to the project
∎ Program Officer will maintain liaison with Desk Officer and Counsellor Officer for identifying victims from the desk and assisting other related work of project.
∎ Perform any other related duties or responsibilities that may be assigned by the organization or donor agency.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must have at least 3 years of similar experience in field level program implementation under trafficking and migration sector.
∎ Professional work experience in reintegration support and management of human trafficking survivors and its reporting.
∎ Experience in Human Trafficking project will be added value for this position.
∎ Good skill in documentation and report writing in English. Working knowledge of MS Office applications and Power Point.
Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary BDT 31,958 other admissible benefits as per project support.
