Job Context:
∎ CSF Global (formerly Child Sight Foundation http://csf-global.org) is an international organization, operating in Bangladesh since year 2000, ensuring equal rights and services for children with blindness, cerebral palsy, and other disability. CSF Global is currently operating in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal and Australia.
∎ CSF Global is engaged in advancing research and services for persons with disability and is committed to generate high quality evidence on childhood disability (e.g. blindness, cerebral palsy) through translational research and provide comprehensive services for establishment of rights-based inclusive societies for children with disability in low and middle-income countries.
∎ CSF Global is currently collaborating with several international organizations of repute and its projects are funded by both national and international organizations including USAID, the University of Sydney and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation, Australia.
∎ CSF Global is looking for a program officer for their project titled "CSF `Dristi Kendro` (Vision Centre) - a sustainable model for eye care in low- and middle-income country". As part of the project, five (05) CSF Vision Centres will be established in Rajshahi, Noagaon and Tangail district, Bangladesh. The program officer will support the program manager and the team in project implementation, documentation, maintaining liaison with stakeholders, communication and reporting.
∎ This project is made possible by the generous support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and is implemented by CSF Global in collaboration with BNSB Eye Hospital, Professor Matin Eye Care System and University of South Asia in Bangladesh.
∎ Job nature: Contractual
∎ Contract length: 20 months
∎ Job location: Dhaka with scheduled visit to the project sites (Rajshahi, Noagaon and Tangail district)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide technical support to the Program Manager in overall project implementation.
∎ Supervise the field team to coordinate training for key informants and schoolteachers
∎ Support coordination of monitoring surveys, assessments, data, and information collection
∎ Provide and maintain necessary documents related to standards, practices, and policies to all CSF Vision Centres.
∎ Maintain accurate documentation/records and prepare regular reports of the overall project activities and outputs at centre level.
∎ Analyze data and share brief findings with project team.
∎ Organize regular meeting with the working group members, document and share meeting minutes.
∎ Assist program manager in preparing monthly and quarterly activity reports.
∎ Assist in preparing presentations on project activity and findings.
∎ Visit to the field sites to monitor the project activities.
∎ Assist the Centre Manger/Optometrists of CSF Vision Centres to provide and expand primary eye care services for children in the project area.
∎ Perform other related duties for national and international projects of CSF Global, as and when assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year professional experience of working in public health program at government, non-government, or international organizations.
∎ We are looking for an active team member who is looking for opportunities to gather practical experience in public health program management, keen to acquire new skills, is willing to travel to the project sites and adapt with challenging environments such as program management in emergency situation e.g. COVID-19.
∎ Competency in verbal and writing skills in both Bangla and English language.
∎ Advanced user of Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Basic data analysis skills are preferred
∎ Previous experience in documentation management system is preferred.
Salary: Tk. 27000 - 32000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Other benefits include monthly mobile bill, weekly two holidays, two festival benefits in a year equivalent to two basic salaries, provision of leave as per organizational administrative and service rules.
