Job Context:
∎ CSF Global (formerly Child Sight Foundation http://csf-global.org) is an international organization, operating in Bangladesh since year 2000, ensuring equal rights and services for children with blindness, cerebral palsy, and other disability. CSF Global is currently operating in Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal and Australia.
∎ CSF Global is engaged in advancing research and services for persons with disability and is committed to generate high quality evidence on childhood disability (e.g. blindness, cerebral palsy) through translational research and provide comprehensive services for establishment of rights-based inclusive societies for children with disability in low and middle-income countries.
∎ CSF Global is currently collaborating with several international organizations of repute and its projects are funded by both national and international organizations including USAID, the University of Sydney and Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation, Australia.
∎ CSF Global is looking for a monitoring officer for their project titled "CSF `Dristi Kendro` (Vision Centre) - a sustainable model for eye care in low- and middle-income country". As part of the project, five (05) CSF Vision Centres will be established in Rajshahi, Noagaon and Tangail district, Bangladesh. The monitoring officer will be responsible for monitoring day-to-day project outputs of the CSF Vision Centres and work closely with the Vision centre team to follow-up, documentation of the project activities and achievements, maintain liaison with stakeholders, communication, and reporting.
∎ This project is made possible by the generous support of the American People through the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and is implemented by CSF Global in collaboration with BNSB Eye Hospital, Professor Matin Eye Care System and University of South Asia in Bangladesh.
∎ Job location: Dhaka with frequent visits to the project sites (Rajshahi, Noagaon and Tangail district)
∎ Job nature: Contractual
∎ Contract length: 20 months
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist program management team to develop an M&E plan
∎ Support the vision centre teams on day-to-day activities and problem shooting for service provision and project output.
∎ Enhance the capacity of project staffs on online reporting system and usage of electronic devices (Tab).
∎ Provide training to the field staff on documentation system at each centre.
∎ Monitor centre wise progress on individual indicators, track progress toward the project milestones and report to line manager.
∎ Document centre-wise project output and prepare weekly report and report to line manager. Maintain accurate documentation/records and prepare regular reports of the overall project activities and outputs at centre level.
∎ Document any best practice and case story related to the project activities at each centre.
∎ Support the project team to organize advocacy workshops/seminar at sub-district, district and national level
∎ Work closely with the program officer for data analysis and preparing brief report for project staff on a weekly basis
∎ Attend the working group meeting on a regular basis and share a brief update about each centre to the working group members.
∎ Visit to the field sites frequently to monitor the project activities
∎ Assist the Centre Manger/Optometrists of CSF Vision Centres to provide and expand primary eye care services for children in the project area.
∎ Perform other related duties for national and international projects of CSF Global, as and when assigned.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 year professional experience in project monitoring, evaluation and reporting activities.
∎ We are looking for an active team member who is looking for opportunities to gather hands-on experience on monitoring, learning and evaluation of public health program, keen to acquire new skills, has good communication skills, is willing to travel frequently and adapt with challenging environments such as program monitoring and reporting in emergency situation e.g. COVID-19.
∎ Additional Requirement
∎ Competency in verbal and writing skills in both Bangla and English language.
∎ Advanced user of Microsoft office (word, excel, PowerPoint)
∎ Basic data analysis skills are preferred
Salary: Tk. 27000 - 32000 (Monthly)
Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ Other benefits include monthly mobile bill, weekly two holidays, two festival benefits in a year equivalent to two basic salaries, provision of leave as per organizational administrative and service rules.
