Additional Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in managing and implementing social development and governance-related projects.

  • Working experience in projects related to civic education, Gender Based violence (GBV) awareness-raising training, and campaigns will be considered.

  • Understanding of the Gender Based Violence and Digital Transformation domain.

  • Capacity to adapt and understand the local context to propose tailored and realistic solutions/recommendations

  • Facilitate and/or conduct capacity building sessions on Gender Based Violence and Digital Transformation

  • Demonstrated interest and commitment to protecting digital civic space and fostering a more enabling digital environment for civil society organizations (CSOs) at both local and national levels, in alignment with the Transforming Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV) framework.

Who are we?

  • Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC), as a pioneering organisation in Bangladesh, leads the way in media development, digital transformation, information integrity, and the advancement of digital democracy, with a particular focus on empowering rural communities. Since 2006, BNNRC has played a critical role in implementing the United Nations World Summit on the Information Society (UN WSIS) Action Lines in Bangladesh. Through this initiative, we have consistently promoted inclusive access, amplified community voices, and driven digital transformation in alignment with national priorities and global development frameworks.

  • The Bangladesh NGOs Network for Radio and Communication (BNNRC) is in Special Consultative Status with the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). It is accredited by the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) and recognised as an endorsed organisation of the United Nations Global Digital Compact (GDC). BNNRC has been honoured with the UN WSIS Prize for its outstanding contributions to media development, digital transformation, and information integrity in 2016, 2017, 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023, and is set to receive this distinction again in 2025.

  • BNNRC has implemented several projects aligned with Digital Development for Advancing Digital Democracy, Media Development, Combating Technology-facilitated Gender-Based Violence (TFGBV), Constructive Journalism for Road Safety, Information Integrity, and Advancing Media Development & Access to Digital Technology for Equitable Digital Inclusion and Human-Centric Digital Transformation in Bangladesh.

  • BNNRC has an ambitious and dynamic workplace, consisting of a small team working in a well-designed 1,500-square-foot office located in Shamoli, Dhaka. This fully furnished space includes modern office amenities that effectively meet its operational needs. Free Press Unlimited, Netherlands, has sponsored the office with support from the European Union since 2016.
