Job Context:
∎ The main purpose of the position is to guide and oversee all programs, projects and emergency operations focusing on supporting, assisting, and advising program/project staff in order to increase performance and impact. The role mobilizes resources and raises funds including coordination of, cooperation and collaboration with partners to strengthen and scale up service delivery through effective coordination and follow-up with the relevant colleagues and team members if needed. This role will support the senior management team in MASTUL, in rolling out the program engagement plan.
∎ Job Location: Dhanmondi 15 Number, Dhaka.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Program planning and implementation of project activities under the area of operation.
∎ Supervise and guide all the operation team members in developing their work plan and progress.
∎ Manage the field-based team and oversee timely implementation of activities.
∎ Ensuring the implementation of emergency preparedness and response measures in view of monsoon such as: cyclone and flood seasons, with the training of the staff and volunteers on emergency preparedness, updating the regular Contingency Plan.
∎ Promote the organization's policies, frameworks, standards, tools, methodologies, systems, and procedures.
∎ Support and advice team in charge, in analyzing trends, risks and conditions for managing projects and delivering services; resource, budget and project management; risk and benefit realization management; and change management and learning.
∎ Building the capacity of the staffs through regular trainings, coaching and on-the-job mentorship (this may include facilitation skills, leadership, team building etc)
∎ Supervise the staff and assist them in improving performance and their career development.
∎ Ensure that the staffs are aware of all the policy and following those in dealing with the team members and project participants.
∎ Plan the monitoring of the activities of the project as per project plan and need.
∎ Review the monitoring activities of the staff and undertake corrective measures as per monitoring findings.
∎ Establishing, strengthening, and monitoring an effective and transparent coordination system in program activities.
∎ Liaison with other partners, donors, government authority, service providers of the program, field implementation, and coordination with district and upazila levels.
∎ Submitting timely programmatic reports.
∎ Make an archive of project documents and events photographs in a systematic way.
∎ Keep all related project information in a way so that any information can be provided as per need of the management.
∎ Consistently and proactively monitor/assess the safety and security of field teams; promptly reporting concerns or incidents to Program Manager and liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for staffs of program, and any other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop programs.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 35 years
∎ Skills Required: Advocacy, Energetic and self-motivated, Excellent communication skill in both Bengali and English, Management and Leadership, Reporting and Documentation.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s): Computer skill, Excellent interpersonal communication skills, Program planning, implementing, monitoring and staff supervision.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO.
∎ At least 3-5 year(s) Experience in NGO.
∎ Self-directed and able to lead a team.
∎ A mature outlook and strong commitment to work with NGO.
∎ Must be skilled in preparing report.
∎ Experience of networking and mobilization of local communities.
∎ Strong computer, organizational and time management skills.
∎ Strong knowledge and understanding of different government structure.
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply.
∎ More skilled and qualified candidates deserve more.
