Job Context:
∎ Mission: The Production Assistant provides editorial and production support to the project of making short audio programmes with volunteers from the Rohingya and Bangladeshi communities to provide information that can help people.
∎ The Production Assistant works with community producers to research topics for radio programmes, record and edit audio as required. S/he ensures that the editorial policies and guidelines of the project are respected and reports any editorial problems to the Production Manager. S/he contributes to the weekly work plan and production schedule for the community producers.
∎ Reporting Relationship: S/he will be reportable to Production Manager

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Production and Broadcasting
∎
∎ Support the Production Manager in identifying and generating ideas for daily productions
∎ Research program topics using reports, data and online sources
∎ Conduct audio interviews
∎ Negotiate interview times with sources from NGO, UN and government
∎ Contribute to the finalization of the daily production schedule
∎ Contribute to distributing assignments to community producers
∎ Ensure that the community producers carry out the tasks assigned to them
∎ Participate in writing and editing the audio program, as required

Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrated experience working with audio editing software (such as Audition, Audacity or similar)
∎ Experience working in radio/audio production
∎ Experience with community-led development projects
∎ Knowledge of issues facing Rohingya in Bangladesh
∎ Self-starter, motivated, good organizational skills
∎ Language: Candidates MUST understand and speak in Rohingya or local Cox's Bazar dialect; English reading and writing is also required.

Salary:
∎ BDT 37,000/- (Consolidated)
