Responsibilities & Context:
Creating new designs based on brand concepts.
To be ahead of trends in fabric, style, patterns and techniques.
To forecast demand and identify colours, fabrics, textures, patterns, prints, etc.
Producing unique and attractive apparel designs for various brands.
Collaborating with product developers to create garment patterns and specs for the production team.
Developing best-selling styles for traditional, casual and formal wear for men`s, women`s and kids.
Developing different collections throughout the year that must be trend-led and tailored towards the brand`s current customer base.
Need to have analytical knowledge on seasonal trend forecasts to create successful commercial products.
Coordinating with product development, merchandising, sample & R&D team.
Sourcing and developing fabrics, trims and accessories as per buyer specifications.
Follow up on sample development and monitor sample section activities.
