Requirements:
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 4 years’ experience in a similar field with extensive knowledge in producing bags and other items for both local/ international audiences.
∎ Knowledge in conducting training product development, training materials/modules and maintain production unit.
∎ Experience with design thinking, user research, and interaction design.
∎ Fluency in English (oral and written).
∎ Good verbal and written communication skills in Bengali·

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ The Product Designer will be responsible to achieve a satisfactory quality of the bags in relation to the level of choice in design, styles, colors, suitability of components and fitness of the products for the market.
∎ Need to ensure maximum production of goods within the specified tolerances correctly.
∎ Ensure timely implementation right from the initial stage of sourcing raw materials to the stage of final finished product.
∎ Ensure the quality products in the Re-cycling center using the proper raw materials and accessories.
∎ Review the existing design of products and provide recommendations for quality improvement.
∎ Establish acceptable working tolerances in relation to all values on the specification.
∎ Develop a fault rate recording system.
∎ Improve technical understanding of the product making.
∎ Develop instruction manual to follow up quality of products.
∎ Give detail specification to ensure quality production.
∎ Conduct training on operating manual, electric and industrial sewing machines and developing related training materials/ modules. · Introduce new ideas of products considering the user friend, cost effective and market demand.
∎ Increase the capacity of technicians and workers by providing on-the-job training and guidelines.
∎ Provide day-to-day management support and handle the challenges.
∎ Lead the homestead gardening activity to get job done maintaining professional and superior quality.
∎ Formulate activity plan and budget ·
∎ Monitor & evaluate the progress and take corrective measures.
∎ Ensure effective & efficient use of resources.
∎ Keep team members updated and adapt with new changes.
∎ Staff supervision and development, identify appropriate staff development activities and initiate/arrange implementation of those.
∎ Create congenial/friendly working environment for all staff members and learning culture.
∎ Facilitate workshops, training and meetings with various stakeholders.
∎ Maintain the Code of Conduct and all other policies and procedures of the organization.
∎ Ensure integrity policy of both donor and Cordaid.
∎ Follow and ensure the safety security policy.
∎ Regular monitoring of project progress and performance through frequent field visits, staff meetings and feedback.
∎ Coaching and providing advice to field staff in use of M&E data in their day-to-day management decisions in the field.
∎ Prepare and submit monthly/ quarterly reports as per donor requirements.
∎ Ensure that copies of important communications, documents and reports are filed and stored and circulated appropriately.
∎ Ensure proper and quality documentation of organizational achievements, lessons learnt and important events.
∎ Assess training needs for staff and contribute to training module designing.
∎ Provide technical support to staff members through coaching, mentoring, feedback etc).
∎ Ensure that the staff can apply the project approaches and strategies in their activities.
∎ Ensure enabling work environment.
