Job Responsibilities:
∎ The Consultant will be responsible for the following primary tasks, though other duties may be assigned as appropriate:
∎ Coordinate with Dhaka and regional teams to confirm necessary procurement and logistics support tasks such as making travel arrangements, accommodation, coordinating with training/workshop venues, and preparing training/workshop materials for successfully implementation of the consultancy
∎ Carry-out desk review of the policies, rules, regulations, laws and action plans related to the seed sector, food safety, the social safety net systems and nutrition sector of Bangladesh, review research reports, literatures and papers and prepare an inception report with methodology/plan focusing women inclusions.
∎ Convene 04 (four) workshops to strengthen public and private institutions to ensure access to and control over information and services through digital inclusion of female farmers at regional
∎ level including champions from four policy pillars.
∎ Propose strategies derived from the workshops to ensure digital inclusions of female farmer in agricultural policy systems and share with the Policy LINK team for their feedback and inputs.
∎ Develop leadership capacity building training module (soft skills) for the women based on the
∎ workshop's findings and share with the Policy LINK team for their feedback and inputs.
∎ Conduct at least 4 batches of capacity development leadership training (soft skills) for the selected community women group leads or leads including seeds and nutrition policy pillars.
∎ Prepare draft workshop and training completion report and share with the Policy LINK team, incorporate the recommendations, and submit the final report.
∎ Submission of the final report (comprising all the components including photographs) in a
∎ standard agreed template.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and minimum of 15 years' experience on the training need assessment preferably in the seeds, nutrition, food safety and social safety nets sector, its history, evolution and policy development process.
∎ The appropriate consultant should have solid knowledge on community stakeholders, their nature and inter-relationships, and the way they work in the policy formulation to execution process.
∎ A good understanding of the local institutional landscape - it will be a significant advantage if the consultant has a wide network within relevant community stakeholder groups.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and appropriate mindset to work with community stakeholder groups including women, girl, youth and marginalized groups.
∎ Excellent skills in report writing with accurate English language
∎ Experience of coordinating with officials from different government departments and institutions
∎ Demonstrated ability to work in teams and deliver under tight deadlines.
∎ The consultants preferably have VAT and TAX registrations along with trade license (if any).
