Job Responsibilities:
∎ Receive order and forecast production line capacity based on existing and incoming orders
∎ Review production line allocation and run-cycles as per order specifications
∎ Approve final production plan and receive sign-off from relevant stakeholders
∎ Jointly with management, assess need for production capacity fulfilment by external vendors in case of under-capacity units or order criticality
∎ Jointly with product development team perform pre-production planning and risk assessment (if required) for each order before bulk production
∎ Review the monthly plans and production schedules for individual units
∎ Review and guide in creating contingency plans to mitigate delays in production timelines arising out of unforeseen circumstances
∎ Create procedures for daily, weekly and monthly follow up on production targets, basis the approved production plan
∎ Follow-up with all teams to expedite flow of materials and other resources to meet production schedule
∎ Monitor production progress on a periodic basis; Provide corrective action plan to meet production in case of delays, and conduct root cause analysis in case of production delays
∎ Ensure complete utilization of all units, machines and equipment
∎ Review the order book and documents needed for production
∎ Review all MIS pertaining to order receipt, production status updates and shipment updates
∎ Review centralized weekly reports with updated production status; Present reports to supervisors with key concerns and action areas
∎ Track ERP data updates on a timely basis; Review and highlight any required corrections
∎ Identify areas of process improvement in planning operations to execute efficient and on-time production as planned
∎ Guide implementation of process improvement mechanisms and techniques identified
