Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Assessment of Patients: Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, including evaluating their medical history, physical mobility, strength, and range of motion, to diagnose physical dysfunction and develop treatment plans.
∎ Developing Treatment Plans: Create individualized treatment plans that aim to alleviate pain, improve mobility, and restore physical function, taking into account the patient's specific needs and goals.
∎ Implementing Therapy: Use a variety of therapeutic techniques, including manual therapy, exercises, electrotherapy, and other modalities, to treat musculoskeletal, neurological, and cardiopulmonary conditions.Monitoring Progress: Continuously monitor patients’ progress throughout the treatment process and adjust therapy plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
∎ Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on proper body mechanics, posture correction, and self-management techniques to prevent further injury and improve overall quality of life.
∎ Collaborating with Healthcare Team: Work closely with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and contribute to multidisciplinary treatment plans.
∎ Documenting and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including treatment progress, outcomes, and any changes in their condition. Provide reports and communicate with the healthcare team as needed.
∎ Rehabilitation: Help patients recover from surgeries, injuries, or medical conditions by providing rehabilitation therapy aimed at restoring mobility and function.
∎ Pain Management: Provide effective pain management through various therapeutic approaches, such as heat/cold therapy, therapeutic exercises, or ultrasound, to enhance patients’ comfort and recovery.
∎ Promoting Preventive Care: Advise patients on preventive measures, such as strengthening exercises, stretches, and ergonomic adjustments, to avoid future injuries and promote long-term health.
