Education:
  • University degree in Journalism, Film making, Multimedia Communications or a related field from an accredited academic institution with three (3) years of relevant professional experience.

Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealth with by the Organization.
  • Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming.
  • Have some practical experience in cultural research
  • Have experience recording and editing audio-visual materials on culture
  • Having attention for detail and ability to solve problems in creative ways
  • Show sensibility while working with refugees
  • Ability to work under pressure and out-of-working hours
  • Previous experience in humanitarian and emergency response environments is an asset
  • Good understanding of new technologies and digital platforms
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and creative software such Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Knowledge of digital story-telling applications such of Spark or Shorthand is an asset.

Responsibilities & Context:

Job Location: Anywhere in Cox's Bazar.

Job Responsibility:

  • Work as part of the RCMC team, developing weekly plans to research, identify and produce image narratives on cultural and human-interest stories about Rohingya identity, heritage, memory and culture.

  • Provide an efficient teamwork with a copywriter, and a set of Rohingya cultural agents in the field.

  • Record and edit all relevant image materials produced for the CMC archive and online platform including social media and the website.

  • Engage actively in workshops with Rohingya individuals and key community members to define how their identity and cultural stories should be portrayed.

  • Support the curator and RCMC core team with any other tasks that might be identified or relevant to the nature of the project.

  • Provide capacity building training and material development like (Photography, Acting, and Filmmaking) to Rohingya refugees and their host communities.

  • Engage actively with Photography Masterclass and RCMC Theatre

  • Engage actively in developing creative drama, skits, and other IEC materials for creating awareness on various topics as may be requested from time to time.

  • Coveri official celebrations of events, international days, and donor visits, also support PSU and COMs as may be requested.

  • Any other duty as may be assigned from time to time.



Job Other Benifits:

    Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 96,687.92
