Responsibilities & Context:
∎ 1. Pre-Shoot Planning
∎ - Client Consultation: Discuss the client's vision, including the desired style, mood, and branding for the fashion shoot.
∎ - Mood Board Creation: Collaborate with the creative team (e.g., designers, stylists, makeup artists) to develop a mood board that guides the shoot's aesthetic.
∎ - Location Scouting: Choose suitable locations that align with the shoot's theme, considering factors like lighting, background, and ambiance.
∎ - Casting Models: Work with agencies or directly with models to select individuals who fit the look and feel of the campaign.
∎ 2. Collaboration with Creative Team
∎ - Styling Coordination: Work closely with fashion stylists, makeup artists, and hair stylists to ensure the model's appearance aligns with the concept.
∎ - Set Design: Coordinate with set designers to create environments that enhance the fashion being showcased.
∎ - Lighting Setup: Design lighting setups that highlight the clothing and accessories while flattering the model's features.
∎ 3. Photography
∎ - Directing Models: Provide guidance to models on poses, expressions, and movements to achieve the desired look.
∎ - Capturing the Shots: Take high-quality photographs that emphasize the fashion pieces, considering factors like composition, lighting, and focus.
∎ - Experimenting Creatively: Explore different angles, perspectives, and techniques to capture unique and compelling images.
∎ 4. Post-Production
∎ - Image Selection: Review and select the best images from the shoot, often in collaboration with the client or creative director.
∎ - Editing and Retouching: Use advanced editing techniques to enhance the images, focusing on color correction, skin retouching, and ensuring the clothing and accessories look their best.
∎ - Final Delivery: Prepare and deliver the final images in the required formats, whether for print, digital media, or other purposes.
∎ 5. Client and Brand Management
∎ - Brand Alignment: Ensure that all images align with the client’s brand identity and the marketing goals of the campaign.
∎ - Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with the client, providing updates, proofs, and final images as needed.
∎ - Portfolio Development: Continuously update your portfolio with new work to attract future clients and stay relevant in the fashion industry.
∎ 6. Trend Awareness and Adaptability
∎ - Staying Updated: Keep up with current fashion trends, photography techniques, and industry standards.
∎ - Adaptability: Be ready to adjust to last-minute changes in styling, location, or concept to meet client needs.
∎ 7. Business and Administrative Tasks
∎ - Contract Negotiation: Handle contracts, pricing, and licensing agreements with clients and models.
