Responsibilities & Context: Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Pharmacist to join our team in a dynamic Diagnostic Center & Hospital environment. The Pharmacist will be responsible for dispensing medications, verifying prescriptions, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with medical and legal standards. This role requires close coordination with physicians, lab personnel, and nursing staff to ensure safe, accurate, and effective medication use for patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescriptions and over-the-counter medications to patients and inpatients.
- Review and validate physician prescriptions for accuracy, proper dosage, and possible drug interactions.
- Advise healthcare professionals and patients on the safe and effective use of medications.
- Monitor patient medication therapies and alert medical staff to potential side effects or interactions.
- Manage inventory control, including stock rotation, expiry tracking, and reordering supplies.
- Ensure all medications are stored appropriately according to hospital policies and safety standards.
- Maintain and update patient medication records and pharmacy databases.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NABH, FDA, local health regulations).
- Participate in clinical rounds or discussions when required, especially regarding patient medication plans.
- Provide counseling to patients on medication use, especially in chronic or post-diagnostic treatments.
- Assist with pharmacy billing procedures and insurance claims, if required.
- Participate in regular audits, inspections, and quality control processes.

May involve rotational shifts, weekends, or holiday duties
