Responsibilities & Context:
Supervise the overall functioning of all operation theaters.
Plan and coordinate the work of OT staff (OT Assistants, Nurses, Technicians).
Ensure compliance with OT rules, safety protocols, and hygiene standards.
Prepare and maintain all surgical instruments, equipment, trolleys, and tables in a sterile condition for surgeries.
Ensure timely availability of necessary instruments and medical supplies for surgeons and nurses.
Assist in transporting patients to the OT, ensuring proper positioning, and safe transfer to the recovery room post-surgery.
Coordinate surgeons’ requirements during operations.
Be available and perform responsibilities promptly during emergency surgeries.
Train OT staff and ensure adherence to OT protocols.
Supervise sterilization, infection control, and proper disposal of biomedical waste.
Prepare daily reports on OT activities.
Maintain inventory of equipment and medicines.
Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the authority.
