• Strong academic background with a valid professional registration or certification in Optometry.        

• Sound knowledge and hands-on experience with diagnostic equipment such as auto-refractometer, slit-lamp, tonometer, and ophthalmoscope.       

• Ability to perform refraction, visual field testing, and other optometric procedures independently.       

• Ability to explain clinical findings and treatment plans to patients in a clear and empathetic manner.      

• Capable of making quick clinical decisions in critical situations and referring patients appropriately.      

• Basic proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Saic Eye Care Center is a specialized healthcare facility under the Saic Group, dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable eye care services to the community. Located in Dinajpur, the center is equipped with modern diagnostic tools and staffed by experienced professionals. As part of our expansion and commitment to excellence, we are looking for a qualified and motivated Optometrist to join our dynamic team at our Dinajpur center. The selected candidate will work in a collaborative environment and contribute to delivering exceptional eye care services to patients from diverse backgrounds.

• Assess patients` vision to detect refractive errors, visual acuity issues, and early signs of eye diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, etc.

• Use advanced instruments and techniques to carry out detailed eye assessments.

• Recommend and prescribe suitable eyeglasses and contact lenses based on individual needs and lifestyle.

• Identify cases requiring vision therapy and advise customized treatment plans for visual skill development or rehabilitation.

• Conduct refraction, slit-lamp bio-microscopy, intraocular pressure measurement (tonometry), and other advanced diagnostic procedures.

• Interpret test results to support clinical decision-making or refer to ophthalmologists for further management when necessary.

• Educate patients on proper contact lens hygiene, eye care practices, and preventive measures for common eye conditions.

• Provide clear guidance on follow-up care, treatment compliance, and lifestyle adjustments to support long-term eye health.

• Work in coordination with ophthalmologists, general physicians, and other healthcare providers for co-management of patient care.

• Assist in pre- and post-operative assessments for patients undergoing ocular surgeries.

• Ensure all clinical data, prescriptions, and treatment plans are properly recorded in both manual and digital systems.

• Maintain confidentiality and uphold the standards of patient safety and data protection as per organizational and regulatory guidelines.

• Contribute to maintaining a patient-centric service environment by ensuring cleanliness, professional conduct, and courteous communication.

• Participate in clinical audits, staff meetings, and training sessions to enhance service quality and team performance.
