Job Context

We are seeking a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Biochemist to join our hospital laboratory team. The selected candidate will perform biochemical analyses, ensure accurate and timely reporting of laboratory results, maintain quality standards, and support clinicians in providing effective patient care.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized biochemical tests on blood, urine, and other clinical specimens.

• Operate, calibrate, and maintain automated biochemistry analyzers and laboratory equipment.

• Validate and release accurate laboratory reports within the required turnaround time.

• Ensure compliance with Internal Quality Control (IQC) and External Quality Assessment (EQA) programs.

• Prepare, label, and store reagents and laboratory samples according to standard procedures.

• Monitor analyzer performance and coordinate with service engineers for troubleshooting and preventive maintenance.

• Maintain proper laboratory documentation, records, and inventory of reagents and consumables.

• Follow hospital policies, laboratory safety protocols, infection prevention, and biomedical waste management guidelines.

• Collaborate with consultants, physicians, and laboratory staff to ensure high-quality diagnostic services.

• Perform any other responsibilities assigned by the Laboratory Manager or Hospital Management.
