Responsibilities & Context:
Conduct vision tests and eye examinations to detect vision defects.
Prescribe corrective lenses (glasses/contact lenses) where required.
Assist ophthalmologists in diagnosis, treatment, and surgical procedures.
Counsel patients on eye care, usage of corrective lenses, and preventive measures.
Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of diagnostic instruments and equipment.
Support hospital eye camps, outreach programs, and academic activities.
