Experience:
● Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.● Strong technical or practical understanding of automotive workshop operations.● Extensive professional experience in an established automotive workshop, dealership, premium vehicle service centre, or similar organization.● Previous experience in an Operations Manager, Workshop Manager, Service Manager, Aftersales Manager, or equivalent leadership role.● Experience working with European, premium, luxury, Japanese, hybrid, or modern electronically controlled vehicles will be highly preferred.● Strong understanding of workshop SOPs, vehicle repair workflows, quality control, client handling, parts management, and employee supervision.
● Manage and supervise the daily operations of the entire service centre.
● Coordinate between the service advisory, technical, diagnostic, mechanical, electrical, body and paint, parts, procurement, accounts, and customer service departments.
● Ensure that all departments work according to company policies, approved procedures, and operational targets.
● Maintain an organized, professional, clean, and productive workshop environment.
● Identify operational problems and implement practical solutions without unnecessary delays.
● Monitor every vehicle from entry until final delivery.
● Ensure vehicle inspections, diagnoses, quotations, approvals, repairs, quality control, invoicing, and delivery are completed within the agreed timeline.
● Prevent vehicles from remaining unnecessarily idle inside the workshop.
● Prioritize urgent, corporate, and high-value vehicles based on management instructions.
● Follow up regularly with responsible employees regarding delayed vehicles.
● Inform management and clients immediately when any delay, additional repair, or technical complication arises.
● Ensure that all workshop SOPs are properly followed by every department.
● Confirm that no unauthorized work, dismantling, repair, or parts replacement is carried out.
● Ensure complaint sheets, job cards, inspection reports, quotations, parts requests, approval records, and QC documents are properly completed.
● Make sure technicians only begin work after receiving the necessary approvals and instructions.
● Maintain proper documentation and accountability throughout the repair process.
● Ensure every vehicle receives a complete and documented quality-control inspection before delivery.
● Verify that all approved repair work has been completed correctly.
● Confirm that warning lights, diagnostic trouble codes, fluid levels, electrical systems, repaired components, road-test results, and overall vehicle condition are checked where applicable.
● Ensure that no vehicle is delivered with incomplete work, unresolved complaints, loose components, damage, dirt, or missing parts.
● Investigate repeat complaints, workmanship failures, and customer returns.
● Hold the responsible department or employee accountable for avoidable quality issues.
● Supervise technicians, foremen, service advisors, engineers, floor personnel, and other operational employees.
● Maintain discipline, attendance, productivity, and professional behaviour across the workshop.
● Ensure employees remain focused on assigned work and complete their responsibilities on time.
● Prevent unauthorized communication, commitments, or price discussions between workshop workers and clients.
● Resolve internal conflicts and maintain cooperation between departments.
● Identify training requirements and recommend employee development, reassignment, reward, or disciplinary action when necessary.
● Ensure manpower is allocated properly according to workload, skill level, and vehicle priority.
● Ensure required parts, consumables, tools, and technical information are supplied to technicians on time.
● Coordinate with the parts and procurement teams to prevent repair delays.
● Confirm that requested parts match the vehicle, quotation, and approved work.
● Ensure parts are inspected before installation.
● Prevent unauthorized parts usage, wastage, duplication, loss, and unnecessary purchasing.
● Monitor locally sourced, imported, used, and special-order parts.
● Ensure replaced parts are properly recorded, stored, and returned to the client when required.
● Communicate professionally with retail, corporate, fleet, and premium-vehicle clients.
● Understand client complaints, expectations, priorities, budget limitations, and delivery requirements.
● Explain technical findings, recommended repairs, delays, and additional work in a clear and professional manner.
● Support the service advisory team in handling sensitive, high-value, or dissatisfied clients.
● Ensure that no unrealistic promise is made regarding pricing, repair results, or delivery time.
● Build long-term client trust through transparency, professionalism, and consistent service quality.
● Continuously identify opportunities to increase workshop productivity, revenue, and profitability.
● Reduce unnecessary labour hours, vehicle delays, repeat repairs, parts wastage, and operational expenses.
● Monitor technician efficiency, bay utilization, job completion time, and departmental performance.
● Ensure that all completed work, labour charges, parts, consumables, diagnostics, programming, and additional services are properly recorded and billed.
● Identify missed sales opportunities and recommend suitable additional services based on genuine vehicle requirements.
● Support management in developing operational targets, pricing strategies, service packages, and process improvements.
● Ensure profitability is increased without compromising safety, quality, or client trust.
● Provide regular operational reports to the Chairman and Managing Director.
● Report vehicle status, delayed jobs, pending approvals, parts shortages, workforce issues, QC failures, customer complaints, and operational risks.
● Maintain accurate data regarding vehicle intake, delivery, productivity, revenue, pending work, and repeat repairs.
● Attend management meetings and provide practical recommendations.
● Implement management decisions and follow up until completion.
