∎ Candidate must have knowledge in Chemical section of Compliance/Sustainability department in any reputed Knit Garments Industry
Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Maintain updated chemical inventory and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals used.
∎ Ensure proper chemical labeling, storage, handling, and disposal as per legal and buyer requirements.
∎ Conduct routine checks of chemical storage and usage areas to ensure safety and compliance.
∎ Implement and monitor ZDHC MRSL/RSL compliance.
∎ Prepare for customer compliance audits (e.g., Higg FEM, GOTS, OEKO-TEX, Detox, etc.).
∎ Maintain documentation required for environmental and chemical compliance.
∎ Train relevant personnel on chemical safety and environmental compliance.
∎ Promote awareness on sustainable chemical practices among departments.
∎ Conduct environmental risk assessments related to chemical use.
∎ Report any non-compliance or environmental hazard promptly to management.
