Responsibilities & Context:

Alfamart, a leading international convenience store chain and one of the largest in its home country, is successfully operating in Bangladesh and expanding its retail footprint. We are seeking for a competent and dynamic Front Desk Officer, HR & GS Department to oversee its front office management at ATBL.

This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a fast-growing multinational retail organization and to play a vital role by providing a professional & welcoming atmosphere, managing visitor greetings, managing phone calls, and administrative tasks within the company.

Job Purpose:

To manage the front desk operations by welcoming visitors, handling calls and correspondence, coordinating meetings and interviews, and providing administrative support to ensure smooth and professional office operations.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greet visitors/ guests entering the building, answer any questions, provide the right directions, and alert staff when someone is there to meet or visit them.

  • Answer a multiple line phone system, manage calls by routing them to the proper extensions or taking messages and delivering them within our message system.

  • Keep front desk tidy and presentable with all necessary material (pens, forms, paper, etc.)

  • Schedule meetings, appointments, and Interview phone calls to the candidates.

  • Maintain a filing system/ Personnel filing for the office desk and the new joiners.

  • S/he shall maintain the logs as a protocol to secure the premises .

  • Accept all letters and packages, and distribute them to their appropriate departments.

  • Ability to take initiative, to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise.

  • Serve as the face of the company, offering friendly service to those entering the office or calling in on the phone.

  • Ready to take up other responsibilities as and when assigned by the Management..
