Experience:
At least a Bachelor`s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in finance and administration, preferably in a corporate or project-based environment.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
SERA Bangladesh is seeking a dynamic and experienced Finance and Admin Officer to join the team. Officer - Finance and Admin will be responsible for providing administrative and financial management support in terms of allocating financial and logistical resources to the team for the effective implementation of planned activities at field level under various project. He/she will closely work with the project team to ensure project activities are done through cost efficient programme delivery ensuring donor compliance. S/he will also coordinate with partner teams if necessary to ensure effective implementation of joint events.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements, including management accounts, budgets, and variance analysis.
Oversee daily financial transactions, bank reconciliations, ledger reconciliations, and ensure accurate accounting entries.
Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, petty cash, and working capital.
Establish and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure compliance.
Contribute to strategic financial planning, including tax planning and management.
Coordinate administrative tasks, such as filing, document management, and office supplies.
Provide general administrative support to the management team.
Assist with HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, and employee records.
Manage office operations and facilities.
Collaborate with project teams to provide financial support and analysis.
Track project budgets and expenditures.
Assist with financial reporting for projects.
Other duties assigned by the Management.
