Job Context: Plan, organize, and evaluate the activities concerning nursing and the team associated, according to MSF values, policies and protocols and universal health standards, to warrant the quality and continuity of the health care and the development of the plan of action
Job Responsibilities:
Perform nursing duties as required, applying professional knowledge and experience to ensure high-quality patient care and optimal use of resources
Implement all medical protocols and Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) procedures, ensuring full compliance among team members to maintain quality standards in service delivery
Organize and coordinate team activities, including weekly scheduling, annual leave, and coverage during absence Conduct performance evaluations, identify training needs, and facilitate professional development to ensure adequate staffing and high-quality care
Oversee or supervise the management of the End User Unit (EUU) pharmacy and medical equipment, including medication orders, stock monitoring, appropriate storage, bi-weekly inventory, expiry control, and consumption tracking to guarantee efficient and effective supply use
Ensure that all personnel using medical devices are properly trained and qualified Ensure routine cleaning and minor maintenance of equipment according to protocol and report any malfunction to the Project Biomedical Technician through proper job requests
Perform and/or coordinate administrative tasks such as preparation of discharge or transfer documents; ensure accurate collection and organization of patient data, records, forms, and statistics; and prepare regular activity reports to support informed decision-making and track project outcomes
Provide regular feedback to team members and the Nursing Activity Manager (NAM) to facilitate continuous quality improvement
Ensure adherence to universal hygiene precautions, IPC guidelines, and SOPs at all times, including main-taining clean bed linens, mosquito nets, and appropriate patient eating utensils; and take corrective action when required.
Maintain a safe and hygienic clinical environment; ensure staff are aware of procedures for accidental blood and body fluid exposure.
Ensure correct and consistent use of PPE by all team members in line with transmission-based precau-tions.
Ensure strict compliance with aseptic techniques during all clinical procedures.
Oversee correct waste segregation and disposal
Coordinate scheduled deep-cleaning activities within the unit.
Ensure proper sterilization processes and safe transportation of instruments.
Collaborate with the IPC team to support and reinforce IPC strategies within the PHC.
Conduct routine audits of nursing documentation (e.g., vital signs, prescriptions, fluid balance charts) and submit monthly reports to the NAM.
Provide clinical supervision and supervisory rounds to ensure procedures are performed according to MSF nursing guidelines.
Organize regular clinical discussions to strengthen staff competencies in topics such as CPR, pain man-agement, and hypothermia management etc.
Perform daily hygiene checks to ensure invasive procedures are conducted under aseptic conditions and are properly documented (e.g., IV catheterization date/time, urinary catheter etc..).
Ensure adherence to medication administration policies (e.g., open-vial, medication compounding).
Ensure consistent and correct hand hygiene practices to reduce healthcare-associated infections.
Ensure effective handover practices within and between shifts.
Ensure accurate and timely completion of all nursing forms and charts.
Monitor and report patient’s safety incidence using the provided template.
Assign duties to nursing staff and coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth daily PHC activities.
Ensure staff awareness and adherence to MSF policies and procedures.
Monitor and evaluate nursing activities to ensure quality care, professionalism, and efficient service.
Plan departmental workflow and establish operational priorities.
Ensure confidentiality, proper filing, and systematic archiving of patient records.
Identify training needs and organize or facilitate relevant sessions.
Lead the nursing team, promote strong team spirit, and ensure effective internal and interdepartmental communication.
Ensure daily/weekly biomedical equipment inventories are completed; escalate issues to NAM as needed.
Ensure all biomedical equipment remains disinfected and functional; arrange repairs and report break-downs or pending maintenance promptly.
Ensure availability of supplies across all End-User Units through weekly inventory checks.
Ensure proper preparation, monitoring, and documentation of cold chain systems.
Provide monthly inventory reports for stationery, refreshments, and medical forms.
Ensure PHC infrastructure is properly maintained, coordinate repairs and preventive maintenance with lo-gistics.
Develop and maintain monthly duty rosters; ensure timely completion of related HR documents
Provide strong leadership to the nursing team and promptly communicate challenges to the direct supervi-sor.
Understand staff job descriptions; evaluate performance and contribute to professional development plan-ning.
Address staff complaints and concerns; escalate complex issues to the supervisor when necessary.
Participate in MSF meetings as required.
Organize and facilitate monthly meetings with nursing profiles.
Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

* Salary is not negotiable. Income tax deduction at source will be applicable based on the current income tax rule.
* Festival bonus entitlement is effective upon completing one (01) year of uninterrupted service with MSF.
* There are no provisions for relocations.
