Job Summary: -

The Assistant Engineer (Biomedical) is responsible for supporting the operation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment used for patient diagnosis and treatment at Bangladesh Specialized Hospital. The role ensures that all biomedical devices such as Ventilator, ECG Machine, MRI Machine, and CT Scanner function safely and efficiently.

The engineer assists in installing new medical equipment, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting technical problems, and maintaining service records. They also work closely with doctors, nurses, and equipment suppliers to ensure continuous and safe operation of hospital medical technology.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: -

1. Check Hospital Machines

•             Regularly check medical equipment in the hospital.

•             Make sure machines used for patient treatment are working properly.

2. Repair Equipment

•             Fix machines if they stop working or have problems.

•             Quickly solve technical issues so doctors can continue treatment.

3. Maintain Equipment

•             Do routine maintenance of medical machines to prevent breakdowns.

•             Keep machines clean, calibrated, and in good condition.

4. Install New Medical Machines

•             Help set up and install new equipment when the hospital buys new machines.

•             Test the machines before doctors and nurses start using them.

5. Support Doctors and Nurses

•             Help medical staff if they face problems using any machine.

•             Explain basic operation and safety of equipment.

6. Keep Records

•             Write reports about machine maintenance, repair, and inspections.

•             Maintain proper documentation for hospital records.

7. Ensure Safety Standards

•             Make sure all medical equipment follows hospital safety rules.

•             Ensure machines are safe for patients and staff.

8. Communicate with Vendors

•             Contact equipment suppliers for spare parts, servicing, or warranty support.
