Job Context

Ensure excellent service standards, maintain quality, respond efficiently to patient needs and develop patient satisfaction as well as manage all subordinate staff in terms of administration and profession.

Job Responsibilities :

• 1. Ensure delivery of professional nursing care to patients/clients on admission/entry within an assigned establishment.

• 2. Record the Vitals of the patients immediately after receiving, inform the respective doctor of any abnormality to be addressed without delay. Undertake urgent measures to resuscitate seriously/dangerously ill admitted patients. Maintain intake-output chart of all patients as asked by the concerned doctor.

• 3. Respond immediately to the call of patients, dispense all medication -oral/parenteral strictly adhering to the dosage schedule for each and every patient assigned to you by the authority. Develop and evaluate nursing regimen for assigned patient/client under the guidance of respective doctor.

• 4. Prepare nursing care progress notes on patients/clients to affirm continuity of care.

• 5. Integrate with other healthcare service team members to implement specific patient care plan.

• 6. Assess patient care requirements by establishing harmonious relationship with patients and their attendants. Extend all types of assistance to patients during the whole tenure of his/her confinement in hospital and strictly comply with the order of the superior authority.

• 7. Develop a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological and spiritual support to patients their friends and families.

• 8. Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations;

• 9. Exhibit charts on patients care services and department records for ready reckoning.

• 10. Prioritize the emergency cases in consultation with the respective doctors.

• 11. Regularly maintain nursing supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating required supplies; placing and expediting indents for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies; ensuring best utilization of available resources.

• 12. Serve the clients with utmost sincerity, honesty and modesty to uplift the image of the hospital.

• 13. Ensure collaboration with the Departmental In-charge in accomplishing jobs in the Ward Cabin.

• 14. Ensure discharge of any other duties of similar nature which is not mentioned here but assigned to you by the Hospital Management in the interest of the patients as well as of public service.
