∎ Type of Appointment: Special Short Term (Initially 06 Months with possibility of extension)
∎ General Functions:
∎ Under the direct supervision of the Head, Migration Policy and Sustainable Development Unit and overall supervision of the Deputy Chief of Mission (Development), the successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the implementation of the specified activities under Migration Policy and Sustainable Development Unit.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate timely and efficient planning, implementation, and monitoring of the programmatic, administrative and operational activities of the assigned project in coordination with the supervisor.
∎ Coordinate timely interventions of reintegration support to returnees and guide relevant
∎ stakeholders and actors accordingly.
∎ Participate in various external forums as focal point of reintegration and labour mobility in
∎ consultation with the supervisor.
∎ Build capacity of civil society organisations (CSOs) on sustainable reintegration and labour mobility.
∎ Coordinate with PxD unit to implement awareness raising activities for returnees and migrants.
∎ Contribute to the development of new project ideas and participate in the development of project proposal for strengthening migration and reintegration services.
∎ Provide and technical guidance to relevant stakeholders and project team/s.
∎ In coordination with Head of Migration Policy and Sustainable Development be responsible for budgeting and financial management of the assigned projects.
∎ Contribute to the implementation of mission strategy.
∎ Contribute to the development and implementation of the monitoring framework for the unit in coordination with Mission M&E Officer and Head of Migration Policy and Sustainable Development.
∎ Undertake liaising and maintain close collaboration with relevant stakeholders such as Government entities at all levels, national NGOs, INGOs, etc. to enhance project effectiveness.
∎ Lead on updating all project/programme related information including drafting interim and final project reports for review and finalization
∎ Undertake duty travel as needed.
∎ Perform other duties as may be assigned by the supervisor and management
Additional Requirements:
∎ Two years of project management experience preferably in the field of migration management,
∎ and reintegration.
∎ Experience in working with Government of Bangladesh.
∎ Prior Experience in working with UN Agencies, INGOs and NGOs is desirable.
∎ In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the
∎ Organization.
∎ Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills; courtesy, tact and the ability to establish and maintain
∎ effective working relationships with people of diverse cultural and national backgrounds.
∎ Well-developed skills in personal organization, priority setting, problem solving and writing;
∎ Strong client orientation and service approach with personal commitment, efficiency, flexibility,
∎ and drive for results.
∎ High degree of judgment and initiative; ability to work with a high degree of independence within
∎ assigned areas.
