Educational Requirements:
∎ MBBS with postgraduation degree in neonatology/pediatrics

Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 10 year(s)

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review the existing strategies, guidelines, toolkits, QI standards, draft neonatal health strategy, 4th HPNSP OP, etc. (National and global, whichever is applicable) on Newborn Health and develop a standard operating procedure including proposed human resources by level of service/facilities, needed logistics; incorporating the quality of care issues at all levels including recording and reporting system (Community Clinic, UHFWC, UHC, DH, Specialized hospitals and Urban Health Care delivery system).
∎ Consultation/coordination and organize small meetings with, National Newborn Health Program of DGHS and DGFP (Line Directors/Directors, Program Managers etc.), Professional Associations (OGSB, BPA, BNF, BPS etc.), DPs working on NBH for reviewing the draft NBH SOPs, collect appropriate feedbacks and develop the final draft of the SOPs incorporating the relevant feedbacks.
∎ Develop and submit the final version of the SOPs with NNHP and MaMoni MNCSP.
∎ Make a presentation on the final documents to be shared with NTWC-NBH.
∎ Develop a joint workplan for developing the SOP with clear objectives, strategies/methods and detailed Gantt Chart along with assistant consultant.

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 10+ years working experience in the field of pediatrics/neonatology.
∎ The selected Consultant should have excellent writing skills with experiences of developing similar strategic documents with strong interpersonal verbal communication and presentation skills.
∎ Previous experience of working with the MOH&FW, DGHS, DGFP, Professional Associations (OGSB, BNF, BPA, BPS), NGO and other partners for developing similar strategic documents.
∎ Ability to collect evidence-based information from multiple sources e.g., strategies, guidelines, toolkits etc. (National and Global), summarize and identify gaps in the existing documents while proactively seeking ways to fill up the gaps.
∎ Adequate knowledge and good understanding of the health service delivery system in Bangladesh.

Salary:
∎ The Consultant will charge for his/her time at a pre-determined daily rate in line with the Consultant`s experience. This daily rate will be mutually agreed upon by the Consultant and MaMoni MNCSP, BSMMU before the start of the consultancy.
